Caroline, Croft Kitchen's principal, has enjoyed sharing her catering experience and skills for many years through courses and demonstrations. Themed day courses cover topics like making perfect souffls, baking breads and pastries, Aga cooking, and preparing the perfect dinner table.

As well as organising a superb event, we'll make sure the food and drink we serve is of the very highest standard. We carefully source our fresh ingredients from known local producers, after visiting their farms and dairies to see the provenance of their provisions ourselves. All of our dishes are original recipes, home-made by us to your exact requirements.
We carefully source our fresh ingredients from known local producers and so will be able to let you know exactly where your meat is farmed, whether it be lamb from the Trevelyns' farm on the North York Moors or venison farmed in the Vale of York by Catherine Priestley. Fantastic service from beginning to end from Caroline and her staff! Caroline talked us through everything in lots of detail and was very patient with all my annoying questions over our 10 month engagement. Food was delicious and really excellent value - and the team were happy to cater for tricky dietary requirements. Would highly recommend

Croft Kitchen catered for our 30 person wedding party, and we were so impressed by the food, attention to detail, calmness and general organisation during the day. Everyone commented on the wonderful food and how helpful the staff were. We highly recommend them and can’t thank Caroline enough, she and her ladies made our day so special.

Croft Kitchen provided a medieval banquet for our wedding last week at Merchant Adventurer's Hall and it was wonderful. Caroline is so kind and helpful both in the lead up to our wedding and on the day itself. Our guests absolutely loved the food and Caroline and her lovely team are great when catering for allergies and special diets too. We used Croft Kitchen for a family wedding last weekend and Caroline was helpful and accommodating from the start, from discussing menus early on to coping with the challenges of a church venue to both cook and serve the food on the day. We chose both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options and all were delicious. "Loved the starter", "nicest stuffed pepper I've ever had", "something for everyone", were some of the comments. Caroline was helpful with some special dietary needs too. Caroline and her staff were not intrusive and served our guests efficiently, politely and cheerfully. Very professional

We hired Croft Kitchen for our wedding and couldn't recommend them enough! Caroline was incredibly helpful, and made organising the food easy; particularly as we had many different dietary requirements.
The food was excellent and complimented by many of the guests, as well as the service, particularly helping to make sure that we were at the right places at the right time!

We chose Croft Kitchen for our wedding at Merchant Adventurers' Hall in York in August 2018. Caroline was an absolute pleasure to work with in the run up to and on the day. She accommodated our requests to have beer available for our guests during the reception and also whisky to sample during the evening party.
We had fantastic comments about the food, from the canapes served during the reception to the the homemade bread served with the starter, the main course (chicken and then stuffed aubergine for the veggies) and desert (sticky toffee pudding!!). The portions were just the right size too

Croft Kitchen - provided the food and service for our Medieval Banquet on the 24-06-17 and everyone had a fantastic time. The food was melt in your mouth and my dad ate a whole salmon to himself and at 78 that is not bad. Croft Kitchens staff, food, planning and Caroline the owner were just perfect. Thank you all for all your hard work it was a great evening.
