We have nightly entertainment throughout the summer weeks which varies from traditional Scottish music to upcoming bands and Rock groups.

We were there 2 days in row and... First day was absolutly amazing. Chips was nice and crunchy, vegetarian haggis - amazing... Should be 4 stars after this one. But on the next day everything has change... Chips was undercooked, chicken pie was just ok nothing special... Probably was a different person on the kitchen but for me every day should be on this same standards...

Just lovely! Old school pub, can't beat it. Biscoff cheesecake is possibly the best thing I've ever eaten. Iru-bru on DRAFT, what more can you ask for!

Great wee pub. Starter was delicious with haggis and black pudding bites. Venison burger tasted more like beef and steak that was asked for rare came out medium at best but what the food lacked the staff and atmosphere made up for. Still recommend as one of the better pubs in fort William. Do yourself a favour and get the sharing platter

We had tried a restaurant further up the high street as out 1st search for a dog friendly place to have a sit in meal. But having been advertising food from 12 and no one making an attempt to come meet us at the waiting area to be seated at 12.25 we moved on, and found the crofter.
Staff were welcoming and offered a fresh water for the dog. Good selection on the menu, and food was quick and hot and tasty, no issues at all.
Got busy as we were almost finished and people having to wait for tables but this happens all over the world, so if you don't get a table, sit at the bar and wait in one.

Friendly service in a classic style pub. Nice range of craft beers on from Glen Spean brewery (especially the red ale) and an excellent pint of Guiness, right on the mark. The venison burger was really good and tasted fresh and the sundaes are brilliant. Good value for money too.

Just enjoyed lunch with a friend @ Crofter, had the recommended haggis/cheese toasted wrap & yellow pea soup, all was good including friends burger but he said his chips were cold, other than that all was excellent including the service and good value for money.

The crofter breakfast is excellent. The black pudding the best I've had in a while. The staff so polite.
Everything just right.
The other food on the menu and specials board sounds great too.

Was starving when finally arrived at Fort William after the total of more than 6 hours mixed train and bus trip from Edinburgh without any chance to buy food in between, I'm so grateful we found this place not too far from the station and it was one if the veat bar food ever! 🤩
I believe it's not only because we were starving, but I bet the food was truly super yummy! They put extra touch on everything, even including the tap water! 👍
We were served immediately when we sit, the waitress took our orders at our table and the hot drinks came first just few minutes after we ordered. 😊

The food at The Crofter is quite delicious, so good in fact I visited twice in one week. I wanted to give this place a better review, however one small "issue" really bothered me. I ordered some hot water on both occasions, and found that the second time I was charged for it. When asking if this was normal I was told "sometimes we charge, sometimes we don't." The lack of consistency, and charging for WATER left a bad taste in my mouth. Water should always be free, but if you're going to nickel and dime people at least tell them ahead of time.

Best Scottish breakfast I've had in the country so far. Better than The Glasshouse in Edinburgh.

Get The Crofter breakfast for £6.99.

Bacon and beans are savory, fried toast and sausage very very tasty.

We were referred here by a local who said it was "the best food in town" in her opinion. When we walked in, it did smell wonderful.

Service = extremely poor. The only way to get worse service would be if we were directly spat upon. No person in the employ of this establishment displayed anything even remotely resembling friendliness, helpfulness nor kindness. All were arrogant, rude, and insulting. Zero stars on service.

They all acted put out by having us as customers.

Was hoping that the food would at least be as good as it looked on the menu and as the local suggested.

Stopped in for lunch, with every other tour bus that comes through... food was ok, service was lacking. Food as I mentioned was ok, had a baked potatoes and my husband had a sandwich.

Advertised on every window - free wifi - we had a difficult time getting anyone to tell us about logging onto the wifi but finally figured it out with no care or attention from the staff.

I'm finding the service at all the small towns on our tour to northern Scotland are lacking, there is such a disinterest in providing a personal touch and a welcoming smile. I get the feeling they are just pushing people

Stopped for lunch here on the way up to Skye. It's quite a traditional scottish pub, with warm welcoming atmosphere and good choice of meals, daily deals and craft beer. It was pretty busy, yet the staff was quick in taking orders and bringing food & drinks. Once we got our food, however, their interest in us dropped and we had to wait for quite a while for anyone to notice us and get us the bill.

Our food was good, I got the roast of the day which was beef & came with roasted potatoas, peas, neeps & tatties and my friend got a deal of lentil soup and a toastie. Neeps and tatties

Just popped in for breakfast. 09.30 and the place was empty?!

It was worth the gamble. Friendly welcome, proper breakfast, good coffee. Perfect to start the day.

If we are back in town on time will certainly have a go at diner.

A good spot to stop for lunch. The place is a very traditional Scottish pub. The toasties are good, but the crisps were a bit stale.

They do have good offerings from the bar, including craft beers. But they also have standard beers, if that's more to your liking.

There is also free wifi, too.
