Services
Since opening Spire on Church Road, brothers Adam and Matt Locke have established this warmly welcoming contemporary eatery as a top Merseyside performer: a boon to the neighbourhood's regenerated social scene (Penny Lane just a stroll away). Inside, it's a smart mix of polished floors, abstract art and exposed brickwork, with a spiral staircase linking the two dining areas - perfect for food with a grown-up, cosmopolitan feel.
The group who oversee the awarding of the accolade gave out twenty-nine awards to establishments across the UK. Despite Spire being previously praised by the Michelin Guide, the closest Michelin-starred restaurants to Liverpool are in Birkenhead and Ormskirk. In spite of this, The Liverpool Echo has listed several Liverpool establishments that are worthy of the award - amongst them is Spire Restaurant.

First time for me at Spire last night. Superb on all levels. Well worth the drive through the tunnel and will be returning without question. To start I had the prawns and squid (didn't want to come to the end of it) followed by Goosnargh chicken...succulent and packed with flavour. Cheese and chutney to finish ( lovely selection and beautifully portioned).

What can I say about the Spire restaurant. We had our small wedding meal here and from start to finish Adam the owner made us feel relaxed and was very attentive. All social distancing was observed and the place was spotless. The food was first class and we had no complaints whatsoever. The waiting staff were an absolute credit to the restaurant and. couldn't do enough for us. We will definitely be back and will recommend it to our friends and family.

Incredible food. Would definitely recommend! We shared both starters and mains so we could try more and all four dishes were sublime. The goats cheese and the duck terrine for the starters are highly recommended and we went for the beef and the lamb for our mains and both were equally delicious! It was tricky to get a table at the time we wanted on a Saturday night so I'd recommend booking if you want to go at a busy time and also bear in mind that there aren't many staff even if it's busy.
