Michael Smyth founded Swansway Group in 2003, he had over 35 years in the motor trade, and he was joined by his three sons, David, John and Peter, all of whom are motor industry born and bred.Peter, John and David have all followed their father into the business and all have the same ethos and attention to detail.

Really disappointed by the level of service received. Ordered a new car that was apparently available in stock to then find it was not available, but had been built and was at the port awaiting shipment. Not so much of an issue, however, after nearly 4 weeks of waiting, I still have no delivery nor any confirmed delivery date. Dealer doesn’t seem to be bothered or able to do anything about it. Really poor level of service!

My insurance company nominated Swansway for the repairs to my car, and I felt comfortable with that as they were a manufacturer approved repairer. However, the quality of work and communication during the repairs have been far from the professional standard I would expect.
My car took 6 weeks to repair (for a 2 week estimate) and the delays were all put down to parts being on back order. However, in one instance I discovered that the “delayed part” was in fact in stock at their local dealership, whilst simultaneously being told that it would take up to 2 months for it to arrive.

I ordered my car (SEAT LEON) via a third party but the car was being delivered by Swansway Group.
The delivery date unfortunately got changed on the day due to a fault on the car (engine) but Leanne Hall's and her team were very quick to resolve the issue by giving me another car the following day. She went above and beyond and gave me a full tank of petrol for free for the troubles + issued a thoughtful number plate which was a nice touch.
Delivery guy Rob also a top bloke - really enjoyed talking to him. All in all, some trouble in the beginning due to unforeseen circumstances but they made

Really poor customer service from Jonathan (customer service assistant) and Brian (manager).
I've had two really poor experiences with the team at Swansway. Both times there were issues caused by the technicians after a routine service. No apologies were given and my concerns dismissed and not listened to. If Jonathan had been understanding and… receptive of the issues, I wouldn't be leaving this review and I would be more understanding. When the issues were escalated, Brian was defensive and unhelpful.
I've not even received a reply from the owner of the Swansway group. This just shows

Would urge anyone who buys a brand new car from this company to check it thoroughly before you sign for it because they will knowingly leave it with you with a major fault and then pass it on and do nothing to rectify the issue.

I can’t say enough about how brilliant the guys at the Preston branch were. They did a very comprehensive check of my Caddy and finished all works to a very high standard. Put a deposit down for a Audi RSQ8, then I was told they have not got one, false advertisement, Advertising vehicles they haven't got in stock. Now I find myself chasing the deposit. No replies to my emails. Stay away.

Tried to book my Amarok in for a service at Wrexham quoted £330 plus £400 for a new spare wheel securing system. Was told no longer any courtesy vehicle service available. Phoned VW Salford, service £174, spare wheel system £204, courtesy car no problem sir. Caring and Honest 🤨

As I use to work here unfortunately.. my grandads car broke so we booked him in and his service he received! They were not caring, honest or proud they tried charging him 3000 for an issue then when my grandad questioned and asked them to have another look they then turned around with a different error that would only cost 300! My grandad was so upset with the way he was treated and spoken to! I was sacked for something small and silly and it was an unfair dismissal! Yet I can't complain because they never let me I didn't receive the documents till after the allowed days! They just pushed me out

I have recently taken delivery of an Audi Q5 on a contract hire and I would like to highly recommend the Swansway Group and in particular Ashley Jowett who I had been dealing with. Ashley took time to answer all the questions that I had in the run up to getting the car and he also managed to secure a fantastic deal on our Q5. Great service and I will certainly be making the Swansway group my first port of call for our next lease in a few years time.

I have serviced my Citroens with them for years and they have always been good, hadn't bought from them because they were too expensive but last time they did me a great deal and I was pleased. Only shortcoming when I recommended my friend to them they would not give me the £50 they promised, that will cost them dear.

It's odd that in the main, Swanway appears to receive such positive reviews - this however hasn't been my experience. We purchase a brand new Q5 S line from Stafford; not living locally this was a conducted over the phone but seemingly worked well. We had some logistical challenges agreeing a handover appointment at a weekend as most dealerships now prefer this to be a weekday; something which frustrates me as most of us also work in the week.
We came to the 'reveal' of my wife's new Q5 and on inspection found a ding in the driver's door. This must have been visible on their PDI and I'm guessing

My Purchase was a Range Rover Sport 64 Plate. Stafford Range Rover have been so Outstanding in how they look after their Customers. I have Two small defects and Stafford Range Rover have jumped through Hoops to rectify them. Sales John Stewardson. Sam Booth, Aaron Griffiths After Sales. When our insurers asked us to use this repair shop we were concerned that they were connected with another Crewe body shop who were awful. But in no way associated.
