It all began almost 40 years ago. In 1974, Airquick was established as a company dedicated to providing fast, reliable, integrated and customer-focused service to compressed air users. The market was dominated by major manufacturers, driven predominantly by sales volume, with little regard for the integration of design, installation and long-term maintenance provision.
The installation and commissioning of three 800cfm compressors for Ruston Gas Turbines in Lincoln, followed by the provision of a compressed air system in North Humberside, for a 440ft long building housing the shot-blasting and painting operation for sections of the Humber Bridge. We began working with British Rail in York.

Airquick was born in 1974, with a determination to provide a 24/7 service, at the time of the three-day week, to industrial and commercial customers with, or with the need for, compressed air systems. Whilst the business has grown and diversified, we remain a distributor for Atlas Copco, and retain the knowledge and ability to design, supply, install and maintain systems, equipment, tools and ancillaries.
We design, build and install but we can also support your systems to ensure maximum effiency. Airquick offers a range of support services specific to the compressed air market including:. We are Members of British Compressed Air Society, which keeps us and our clients up-to-date with new legislation as it happens.
Over the course of four decades, from the days of Railtrack and British Rail to Network Rail, Train Operating Companies and Transport For London, our understanding of and technical expertise in delivering bespoke engineering solutions has expanded significantly. As a result, our product portfolio is constantly growing and adapting to meet the burgeoning needs of a modern railway infrastructure.
