Traditional TRVs: This was greater than a traditional TRV, which fluctuated by 2.5°C in a one hour period. Chalmor assisted us to evaluate our energy usage profile and devise a plan to support a grant application to the Carbon Trust to implement changes to achieve consumption efficiencies and by extension reduce our carbon footprint. I think that it is fair to say we have made substantial savings and/or off-set subsequent energy price increases from the recommended measures we implemented. It is a shame “people” can’t just turn off the lights and we wouldn’t need PIRs!
