Services
Tregenna Castle Resort is home to an award-winning hotel, self-catering accommodation, and a whole host of on-site facilities. But that's not all. Our Brasserie is the perfect place to enjoy informal, family-friendly dining, and we've also become known as one of the best wedding and events venues in Cornwall.
Our castle may not date back to the Middle Ages, but it still has a pretty colourful history. Read about our beginnings as a family home, our transformation into a railway hotel, and some of the famous faces we've encountered along the way. Way back in 1774, Tregenna was built as a 12-bedroom private home for a wealthy Cornishman with a love for the sea.
Acres of subtropical gardens, an 18-hole golf course, and some of St Ives' best leisure facilities to boot. Our 72-acre playground is all yours to enjoy for the duration of your stay. So whether you fancy taking a dip in our outdoor pool or playing a game on our tennis courts, we've got you covered.
With our hotel rooms and apartments, you make our castle your home and our 72-acre estate your playground. Our St Ives hotel is perched high on the hilltop, overlooking the quaint cobbled streets and beautiful bay beyond. Choose between sea view rooms for two, family rooms for four, and bedrooms with bunks that are spacious enough for six.
Our family-friendly self-catering properties can be found in all corners of our 72-acre estate. Some of our Cornish cottages occupy the castle's original outbuildings and are just a short stroll from St Ives. Others are shaded by subtropical gardens, or are nestled amongst our woodland walkways. We even have lodges with private saunas and Jacuzzis - because when it comes to holidays in Cornwall, there's no one-size-fits-all.

Would not be able to stay more than 1 night as the only storage in the room was a very small wardrobe. It did hold an ironing board and iron though. There were no drawers so had to live out of our case. The food was ok. The sea bass was well cooked but the lemon drizzle cake was rock hard a dry with no sign of the drizzle. We were there for my husbands works Christmas party so there were almost two hundred people and the service ran very well. The hotel has been smartened up since we were last year which was nice but we did find it difficult to find a parking place.

Great hotel with sprawling gardens to walk through. Need a map or you will get lost. Free parking onsite.
Staff a very polite and rooms are spacious and well equipped. Only one star off as I was expecting a proper big shower in such a hotel. We had a stunning view over St ives.
Would recommend if in the area. Good restaurant as well. Great location to walk to the beach.

Recently finished my second stay at Tregenna. Their spacious rooms, especially ocean view, and polite staff make it a very pleasant experience.
There are both indoor and outdoor pools, it wasn't until our second stay that we discovered the indoor.
Very, very minor gripes:
- ketchup at breakfast is not Heinz
- doors all slam very loudly and wake up other guests on the corridor, could use some dampeners

Enjoyed staying here. Great location to walk into main part of St Ives, but far enough away from all the hustle and bustle. Has lots to do here with pool and tennis courts, but unfortunately the fitness center was closed. Food was okay and family friendly but would recommend going elsewhere if looking for a finer and more intimate meal.
