Services
We can carry out electrical certificates (electrical installation condition reports), diagnostics and fault finding on electrical systems. Our engineers are fully trained and comply with all current requirements and regulations ensuring that your work is done to optimum standards. Our electricians use the latest testing equipment to trace faults which enables them to diagnose and repair faults quickly.
All electrical installations deteriorate with time and should be inspected and tested every 3 to 5 years for continued service. Such safety checks are commonly known as 'electrical certificates' or 'domestic electrical installation condition report'. There are three sets of guidance with separate versions released for landlords, tenants, and local authorities in England.
The engineer must have full access to the board; any obstructions must be removed prior to the test. Board location must be provided to the office prior to the test to ascertain whether the engineer needs ladders. Any damaged fixed fittings must be identified prior to the test; broken light switches, cracked sockets etc.
The aim of this Guide is to provide practical guidance for competent persons on the use of the classification codes, produced by the Electrical Safety Council. Useful guide produced by the the Electrical Safety Council to ensure every type of Landlord meets electrical regulation and the declaration of the tenancy Act.
We only recommend the Electrical Visual Inspection service to Landlords who have a property built before 2005 and not had an EICR carried out since 2005. This is because, more than likely your EICR will be unsatisfactory and electrical installation will be inline of the new 18th Edition regulations.

Booking in the first appointment was relatively easy - but it went downhill from there. First I was sent the wrong documents - I had to chase multiple times over several days to get the correct one. Then they said the EICR failed - so I could request a quote. Which I chased for 9 days and came out so expensive - with no explanation of what would actually be done. 5 days later and I am still waiting for the explanation.
However, I have now gone and found someone else to fix things for half the price with a new EICR.
AVOID!

AVOID Landlord Certificates! My wife and I are disgusted by the lack of customer service. Their gas safety engineer caused a gas leak at our property and refused to provide remedial actions. We had to call another gas engineer to trace and repair the issue they caused.
We have an awesome tenant who has been a joy to have in our property. A basic gas safety certificate (Cert. No. 36881) turned into a gas leak which Landlord Certificates Ltd team refused to step forward and provide good timely customer service for resolution.

Initial experience fine, went down hill after that. The engineer carrying out the certification called 5 hours before the appointment and ask if they 'could come now', which wasn't possible. The engineer never arrived for the scheduled 12-4pm window, no call, no explanation from the office. The certification appointment was rescheduled, then cancelled as the engineer had Covid, with no appointments available until the following week. Ask for a manager to call back, ask for a reduced rate due to the no-show and cancellation, but didn't receive a call back. After asking for a refund was told this

I'd give this company negative stars if it was possible (note my review applied in March 2020 - so confirm with later reviews to see if these issues have been fixed.)
I had significant issues with my EICR inspection. I had different people email me so there was no continuity in the progress. I paid for an EICR inspection (12 Feb 2020) and when they provided me with some appointment times I sent them an email confirmation that the time for inspection was good but it was misinterpreted (which I couldn't put down to anything other than it being due to different people being involved in a booking

Amazing…
Stephen and his team offer an amazing service. Great communication and lead times. Their charges are very competitive. I don't go anywhere else for my EPCs , EICRs and GSCs.
The way this company operates is a good example of strong management and leadership that is lacking in many businesses today. Whilst everyone else complains about how tough it is , Stephen & co. get on with providing a service for their customers
Thank you
