Alton Dental
At Alton Dental, the most important thing is patient safety and comfort, and that is why we have spent the time of closure upgrading the clinic and introducing the following measures to keep our patients and staff SAFER than ever. The clinic as you are aware was always a very clean and safe environment.

However, We have placed hand sanitisers at entry points, upgraded our PPE and redesigned the patient journey in line with social distancing. We will be booking your appointments to ensure that the practice and waiting areas are not overcrowded. We will do this by leaving suitable gaps between appointments, making sure that you can attend the practice while maintaining a safe distance from one another in accordance with government guidelines.
Services
At Alton Dental we emphasise prevention as well as personalised attention, and we offer complete dental services including general and cosmetic dentistry, implants, and invisalign. New patients for Private, NHS, and Denplan treatments are welcome. Learn more about our cosmetic dentistry treatments including teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, white fillings, dental implants and much more.
We provide both NHS and private treatment - the choice is yours! We believe in fixed, transparent pricing. We will discuss your treatment options and estimate the cost for you. We take the time to clearly explain the difference between NHS and private options in terms of technology, techniques, materials and costs.
Alton Dental's team of dentists treat many clients who are unhappy with their smile for cosmetic reasons. Their array of simple, non- invasive procedures provide excellent results in dispelling confidence issues related to the appearance of the smile. Able to treat you with one or all of these cosmetic treatments, Alton Dental are experts in ensuring you possess the perfect smile.
Teeth are stained by the foods and drinks we consume. Smoking further stains teeth and the natural bright, white shade becomes darkened. Teeth whitening is a successful and simple method of lightening the colour of your teeth. The degree of whiteness achieved will vary from patient to patient and with the type of bleaching process chosen.
If your front teeth are stained, chipped, or malaligned, veneers will give you a good life-like appearance with minimum tooth adjustment. A veneer is a facing on the front of your teeth usually your top teeth, it is just like a false finger nail. Veneers make teeth look natural and healthy, and because they are very thin and are held in place by a special strong bond (rather like super-glue) very little preparation of the tooth is needed.

My two boys aged 8 and 10 and I saw Grishma Gupta for a general check up. Grishma is thorough, warm and professional wrapped up in a lovely dentist! She gave us lots of advice too which was appropriate for our different needs. We were also fortunate to have Isabel as Grishma's friendly assistant who engaged my boys in having their teeth checked and was also super lovely.

Dr. Nikul has been very thorough and kind in every appointment. He has made himself very accessible and easy to contact, should I have any concerns about my teeth or dental treatment. The nurses and receptionists are also very professional and sweet. Thank you!

I had an hour long hygienist visit yesterday with Orla which I was dreading! It turned out to be the best hygienist appointment I've ever had! She was very gentle and the injections she gave me I hardly felt! Highly recommend this practice!

I'm a regular patient of this practice, and would agree with most of the positive reviews. However, I think it's also worth mentioning that in the current climate we all find ourselves in, I now feel UNEASY visiting this establishment. The current layout and way they manage people in a confined space, in my opinion, is NOT Covid safe. The main waiting room has 3 seats in a room the size of a small living room, with receptionists sitting WITHOUT masks behind a perspex screen that doesn't even reach the ceiling. As for ventilation, this is not really possible unless they were to leave the front door

I rarely write reviews but feel my recent experience with the Clinic warrants one! Following a dental emergency I was offered a prompt appointment and have required on-going treatment. Throughout this process I have been most impressed with the care, professionalism and kindness of my dentist Jas and her colleagues, Neave, Liz and Amy. In light of this I highly recommend this practice.

After an emergency appointment during the covid pandemic, I was advised that a crown was needed on my tooth. I saw Nik who honestly is one of the nicest dentists I have ever met. I was very nervous re the procedure but he kept me calm throughout by talking to me about what he was doing and reassuring me at all times. I had a temporary crown fitted and later a permanent crown and from beginning to end the service was professional and caring. I thoroughly recommend this practice to anyone (particularly nervous patients).

Let me start by saying that many years ago, my upper front tooth took a size 11 boot to it, which knocked it out of line and caused it to die. I also went to Uni in Scotland and subsisted almost entirely on Iron Bru, cookies and '3 for £1' gummy sweets, for several years (Honestly, No joke). My teeth were crooked, rot yellow, full of holes and my front tooth had gone a horrible dark grey colour.
I was genuinely terrified at the prospect of going to see a dentist. I thought they would 'shout' at me, or laugh, or just not care. I thought it might hurt too. I'm glad to report that I couldn't have
