Williams Aerospace Engineering have a wide range of specialist services available all under one roof at our recently refurbished and expanded Southampton premises. CNC 5 Axis Turning/Milling centre, CNC 4 Axis Milling, Gear Cutting, Grinding, Honing, Lapping & Minor Assemblies for the Aerospace, Nuclear, Marine, Motorsport, shipping & general machining industry requirements.
Our 5 Axis CNC Machining Centre Turn/Mill enables us to manufacture items with Turned Diameters, Flats, cross-holes etc in one operation. With Sub-spindle this offers Turn Mill facility in one operation. 6 CNC Lathes are on site ranging in capacity, turning components from as little as.062" dia. up to 10" dia.
With over 40 years experience in Gear Cutting Williams Engineering are able to manufacture and supply many types of gears. We are specialists in Splining, Hobbing, Shaping, Worm Cutting and Helical Gears. We can offer, in some cases, a 24 hour turn around service - subject to application.

CNC Honing is the final stage to take place on the internal diameters of machined components and involves the very fine finishing of surfaces. We specialise in Match Grinding, a number of our customers require bores with very fine surface finishes. In Honing together with Solid Lapping we can achieve Surface Finishes down to 0.5 Micro-inch (0.013 Micron).
Williams Engineering offer comprehensive Precision Lapping services for Flat Lapping and Polishing applications from our premises in Southampton. For Cylindrical Lapping of Bores we can Lap sealing faces down to 0.5 Micro-inch (0.013 Micron) This is extremely important for the sealing of faces where there is metal-to-metal contact - for example for hydraulic components in the Aerospace and Automotive industries.
