Gilah is a Jewish nursery providing high quality care and education for children from the age of 18 Months until primary school. The children learn and play in a safe, stimulating and friendly environment, looked after by caring and well qualified staff. The staff are warm and caring and the provision excellent and both girls came out smiling every day!

Services
In recent years, the parents have raised thousands of pounds to provide an outside play area for the youngest children at Gilah and refurbish the outside area for the older children. As well as fundraising, the Gilah Parents' Committee now encompasses all typesof social and educational functions, under the chairmanship of Nicole Blech (committee@gilahnursery.com), together with parental representatives from all areas of the nursery.
Forest school provides the opportunity to learn in an outdoor environment. It develops confidence in most aspects of their learning, challenging them physically and mentally. Encouraging problem solving and critical thinking. The freedom to explore and investigate the natural environment individually and as part of a team has provided memorable activities that have left the children and parents asking for more.
At Gilah, we believe that the benefits of outdoor play are endless, so we have been developing the outdoor area to include a classroom. Our classroom is sheltered from the rain and sun, which increases the time we can spend outside, exploring the natural environment. The outdoor classroom provides an enabling environment which promotes all areas of children's development as well as long extended periods of uninterrupted play.
JOY brings together the older and younger generations through shared experiences and paired activities to create relationships and friendships based on our core values of respect, empathy and compassion. We use the similarities and differences of these two generations to foster interaction, connectivity and communication and encourage both age groups to learn from each other.
