Services
We work with architects and design teams to develop fire strategies, which often involves complex engineering analysis. Our aim is to reduce approval risk and increase design certainty from the outset. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) are used to model the action of smoke and fire in a building so that we can optimise the specific locations of smoke control features such as smoke vents, fans and curtains.
We worked with our partners at Preventec to provide a fire risk assessment and fire safety management support for this Grade I listed Victorian gothic country house. The building is part residential dwelling, part wedding venue, part hotel. The National Distribution Centre - or the NDC2 as it is known locally, is located in Hull, East Yorkshire and has a footprint at 16,000m2.
