Services
Claregate aims to offer an excellent standard of education for all children regardless of their background, ethnicity or ability. We are a fair, open and tolerant community. Our vision is to provide a stimulating and enriching education which encourages the holistic development of every child. We promote, cultural, spiritual, moral, personal, social and intellectual development within the context of a happy school community.
Apart from representatives of the teaching and non-teaching staff we are unpaid volunteers who fall into one of four categories: Parent Governor, Staff Governor, Community Governor or Local Authority Governor. The School website details each governor's category. Some of us have a background in education; others are from caring professions or industry.
The government is providing funding for primary school sports. The funding is being jointly provided by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, Media and Sport, and will see money going directly to primary school Head teachers to spend on improving the quality of sport and PE for all their children.
In the event of snow or bad weather, parents/carers will be notified by MarvellousMe App message, school closures will be posted on the LA website and information given out on local radio stations. We want to reassure all parents/carers that we will always try and keep the school open as long as we are able to ensure the safety of the children.
