5 Axis machining's possibilities are virtually endless as the machine is capable of producing so many different shapes and sizes due to its rotating table. At Castle Engineering we offer high quality 5th axis services to cater for all of our customer needs.

5 Axis machining is a precision machining process in which a CNC milling machine can move a part around on 5 different axis, this allows you to machine the part at any angle you would like making curves and other odd shapes a much simpler task, thus decreasing cycle times.Reduced setup time - Predominantly they is only one vice utilised meaning that setup times will be reduced substantially reducing setup costs.
Castle Engineering has been manufacturing components on lathe's since we were founded, we now specialise in sliding head and mill turn machines as they offer our customers and Castle great benefits. Swiss auto lathes are built to machine small precision components consistently and effectively.

They function by having a length of bar fed through the machines headstock which is then gripped by a collet, the bar is then supported by a guide bush which helps the machine reach a superior surface finish while maintaining superb accuracy.Reduced cycle times - Due to sliding head machines being able to use more than one head while machining, they are able to manufacture components far quicker than a standard CNC milling machine is able to.

CNC Milling is a high speed / precision manufacturing process which allows a billet of raw material to be machined with a variety of different tools, resulting in a complete component we can sell to our customers.Complexity - There are countless possibilities as to what can be achieved on a CNC machine, from 3 axis machining to 5 axis machining Our operatives are fully trained to a high standard to take on any challenge that we face.
Castle Engineering prides its self on manufacturing high quality components. We have implemented a strict quality control system to ensure we pick up on every tiny defect that may occur.

We have equipped ourselves with equipment such as a full range of Visio and touch CMM's including a Keyence machine, Trimos, Tesa Visio, Callipers, Micrometers and many different types of gauges that are all independently calibrated to provide our customers with quality machined components.We can guarantee our customers that every item of raw material we receive has full traceability and is checked thoroughly via our goods-in team.
