We're still researching its history but for now the below gives a flavour of the property. There has been a house on this site for hundreds of years but Glenarch was built as it stands today in circa 1820. The house was extended during the Victorian era to provide servants quarters, a farmhouse kitchen and the stables and coach house.
Our bed and breakfast is a beautiful Georgian Farmhouse in Eskbank, near Dalkeith and set within 4 acres of tranquil tree lined gardens on the banks of the river North Esk. A haven of peace just minutes walk to the local pub, shop and transport links to Edinburgh and surrounding areas.
Our leafy and private mature garden is a beautiful place to unwind whether that's sitting in our listed summerhouse, watching deer, pheasants and other wildlife or just enjoying a walk by the riverbank it has something for everyone.Our fruit trees and walled garden contain a bounty of fruit and veg and our free range hens always welcome a visit.

Our recently renovated self catering studio and 4 guest rooms are located in our converted coach house and stables surrounding the south facing courtyard. We pride ourselves on quality and want our guests to have a the very best night's sleep. As such our five rooms are furnished with luxurious pocket sprung mattresses and down and feather pillows and duvets.
