Cousins Engineering was founded in 1966 by Rex Cousins in a small workshop at the bottom of his garden. In the first year, as sub-contract work increased, Ken Gibbs joined the business, a partnership was formed and they moved their business to a small farm building. Steady growth continued and in 1975 after re-locating several times to increase capacity, the company moved to a 7000 sq.
Following Rex's retirement in 1983, his son Keith joined the business along with Ken's son David. After 11 years Ken retired and the business was owned and managed by their sons Keith Cousins and David Gibbs. Keith and David continued in the path of the previous partnership and invested in the business by increasing the capacity of the industrial unit to 12000 sq.
