For many, consulting a solicitor about a Will or an Estate, a Power of Attorney, a Trust or a Court of Protection Order coincides with a time when life is difficult. Even if you are planning ahead, the thought of facing these tasks can be daunting. My job is to listen, advise and take care of everything you need in order to protect yourself and those around you.
I take the time to listen to your circumstances, and the care to take you through each step of the process so that you are confident and comfortable about the outcome. By combining years of professional legal experience with compassion and understanding, I build long-lasting relationships with my clients, who regularly consult me as they reach new stages in life.

Services
Tamsyn Ward Solicitors is a firm operating in the Guildford area. The firm is owned and managed by Tamsyn Ward as sole principal of the practice. Tamsyn has previously worked for well established firms in Leicester, Hampshire and Surrey before establishing her own practice in 2012. Tamsyn qualified as a Solicitor in 2003 and has been working in Private Client since then.
If you do not have a Will, you are part of the 60% of UK adults whose property and possessions may not be passed on in the way they wish. Making a Will is important, but many people put it off until it is too late. I understand that you may be worried about the whole process, and I aim to put your mind at rest by offering a free half-hour meeting to find out about your circumstances and give you friendly, expert advice.
Do you know who would manage your finances or make decisions regarding your health and welfare if you were unable to do so for yourself? Do you have a relative who needs your help because they are struggling to make those decisions? I can help you and your family to organise the right paperwork at the right time to let you concentrate on your future.
If a relative or close friend has lost capacity to manage their affairs without having any Power of Attorney in place, it may be possible to apply to the Court of Protection for an Order to act as Deputy on their behalf. My free half-hour consultation will help me to find out about your situation and explain how I can help.
If you need friendly, supportive legal advice because you have been appointed to act as an Executor of an Estate or if a relative has recently died leaving no Will, I am happy to guide you through the process. With many years of experience in this area, I understand that every Estate is different and that the right support and guidance is crucial for those who are left to deal with their affairs.
