Formally a working 18th century Yorkshire stone built barn, the venue is superbly presented, retaining most of its original characters with beautiful open beams, wrapped in fairy lights and lovely high draped ceilings. It has a large gallery staircase with roses entwined around the balustrades and an integrated dance floor together with a modern lighting and sound system.

A christening, baptism or naming ceremony is one of life's most enjoyable events. Our friendly events coordinators enjoy nothing more than making these events as memorable as possible and they have all the experience you could wish for, which means you are able to relax and enjoy the celebrations to the full.
Baby showers are a wonderful way to spoil the expectant Mum, and a perfect way to celebrate with friends and relatives. Our cute picnic teas with their selection of miniature treats are perfect for the occasion! Our private function room is available for larger groups (or smaller groups with an additional fee) and you are welcome to dress the venue if you wish.
Here at The Old Barn our experience, flexibility and sympathetic service will ensure we can create a funeral reception which is perfect for remembering the life of your loved one. Our staff will ensure that your time of remembrance will be treated with the care and respect that the day deserves. We can cater for large or small funeral receptions.

Would really recommend this venue, I booked my wedding reception here via a meeting today with Tammi for December 2022, looks absolutely stunning, relaxing and more importantly was welcome by amazing staff. Had the Afternoon Tea here on Sunday with my family and it was truly amazing.
Staff were warm and welcoming the food was absolutely delicious and plentiful the best Afternoon Tea I've had so different from what you would usually expect.
Great job guy's can't wait till I'm next over definitely be returning.

Attended today for a baby shower afternoon tea with a very specific list of dietary requirements. Most places tend to make it hard work and are put out by this but not the staff here. They brought a specific bench of food out on which they had gone out of their way to make alternate dishes that were delicious and with in the requirements. Thank you so much for making it such an enjoyable experience, we will definitely be back 😊

We had an amazing wedding at this gorgeous venue. Diane and the team really looked after us and it was the perfect evening of friends and family enjoying themselves in a beautiful setting. The food was wonderful and they had a late bar too :)

Beautiful location for a Wedding reception and even the service. Can book the whole venue out or just the Upstairs. They can supply all food, the music man and a fantastic service with Hog roast or just enjoy a quiet drink infront of the open fire and a romantic night. Seats outside and beer garden.
Beautiful scenery around the original Emmerdale location. Fabulous rustic Old building with lost of style, Charisma and panache.
