Eeusk
With over 25 years experience in the seafood industry, the MacLeod family have built Ee-Usk into a world renowned Scottish fish restaurant. With lobsters and crabs caught from the rocky coast of Luing, scallops from Mull and langoustines, mussels, and oysters from the cold clear waters of Loch Linnhe, our Ee-Usk shellfish is 100% locally sourced.

All of our shellfish is delivered fresh out of the water to Ee-Usk daily and is prepared and cooked on the premises. A huge selection of wetfish is also locally caught and served in Ee-Usk, with Halibut, Monkfish, Squid, and much more regularly featuring on our delicious menus. Situated in the heart of beautiful Oban Bay, our shorefront location offers uninterrupted views across the water to the islands of Kerrera, Lismore, and beyond.
Services
With views over Oban Bay to the islands of Kerrera and Mull, Ee-Usk sits on the water's edge of the North Pier, in the very heart of Oban. Ee-Usk is a stylish and contemporary restaurant, that has been designed to take full advantage of its coastal surroundings. Ee-Usk means 'Fish' (Phonetic Gaelic), and fish is what we are famous for.

Ok, so i dont eat seafood at all, but i said i would try. had crab starter. Cant fault it, was extremely tasty. got the seafood platter for main. plenty to try but far too much muscle. (dont know if this is… normal or not as i dont eat seafood 🤣)i did try 1 piece of everything on the platter and must say it was very tasty! the wine complimented the food & we thoroughly enjoyed it. staff were very attentive and were more than happy to suit our requirements. compliments to the chef and the staff will visit again and try some different items Thanks again

I’m not one for leaving reviews but on this occasion I can’t not do so. As dining experiences go this was up there with, if not the, most enjoyable I’ve had. I had the Chowder starter and the taste was just… out of this world. Full of flavour and prepared to perfection. My main course was the seafood platter, unbelievably good value for money. A huge plate full of the best fresh Scottish seafood, absolute heaven. In the interest of honesty and balance, my wife had Haddock and chips and the fish was a bit greasy so she couldn’t finish that. She had a brie starter and

Very good restaurant with polite service. Really appreciated them swapping out one item of the seafood platter to accommodate my personal needs. Everything really well done, though it felt like the crab was a not super fresh. The mussels were generally fresh with a few exceptions.

One of the best seafood restaurants in the Highlands. Fish is definitely Scottish speciality. I've tried Monk fish for the first time in my life here; it rather tasted like a juicy chicken than fish. Amazing!
The meal was delicious. The view from the window was awesome. Highly atmospheric restaurant. Highly recommended, indeed.

The fish/seafood is as fresh as can be. Most warm fish is only available as battered. The mussels seemed to be available only in a garlic sauce. Lobster and crab only with cocktail sauce or warm with garlic. It would be nice to have more sauce options and the fish cooked in other ways. The oysters are fantastic, and the simplest thing on the menu.

The sea food here was delicious. It’s not the type of sea food that is stinky - you can tell that it is a high quality place. The prices are good too. I liked the chardonnay wine they had. The only downside is they were busy and it took about 2hrs to have lunch here (just starters and mains, no deserts). If you find yourself in Oban this is definitely the place to eat at though!

A fantastic, albeit expensive, grand seafood platter. Everything was great, especially the half lobster (given that it was for 2 people and over 100 GBP, should have had a while lobster), the oysters and what seemed like never ending (yet excellent mussels). I also really enjoyed the smoked salmon, langoustines, crab claw and poached salmon. Only thing I found underwhelming was the fish cakes and dressed crab. Wish it was a whole lobster and would have been nice to include some sides (given the price) but still arguably the best seafood platter in the UK.

Excellent food worth the higher cost. Advice, book a few days before you want to go as very busy. Would definitely eat here again if in the area.

The starter portion sizes were great (and tasted good too). I had the seafood platter for mains and it was lovely (good variety). My girlfriend's battered fish was too oily and the chips were cold - thus the reason for 4 starts instead of 5.

Went here for some great seafood.
The restaurant had a wide range of options available in terms of both food and drink items.
The food itself (see images below) was very tasty and fresh.
The service of the food was at a good pace (not too quick or too slow) and the price was good value for money.
Personally, I would recommend this place for anyone in Oban looking for some divine and fresh seafood.

Looking at the other reviews always makes you hesitate whether you should give it a try or not. But really it shouldn't stop you from experiencing and seeing it for yourself. My family and I actually quite enjoyed Eeusk and would certainly come again if we were in Oban.

Coming on a Friday during lunch, it was quiet, only a handful of tables were filled and the service was quick. The ambiance was lovely and sitting right by the massive windows really gave it a nice feel of being right by the sea.

The seafood here is fresh caught so it makes it all the more appealing to try. There's

Our Rabbies tour guide was raving about the seafood in Oban and recommended Eeusk for lunch as he dropped us off right in front of the restaurant. It had been a long day and I was starving as we made our way over.

I knew I wanted to splurge on this meal and it was one worth doing so! To start, my friend and I shared the Smoked Haddock Chowder (£5.95) and Taster Platter for two (£16.45). While the chowder tasted too floury with a potato texture, the taster platter was amazing. This came with two salmon and prawn parcels, two Thai fishcakes, and a humongous pile of local mussels. Everything on

We visited this restaurant twice and unable to be seated, the second time with a reservation booked by email. The place was overwhelmed with customers and we felt like the hostess didn't really care if we were seated or not. We went to fish restaurant down the road, served immediately and had a great meal, no booking at all. I am not going back, 2 strikes and out. My advice is to go elsewhere, unless it's not busy, and they act like they want you as a customer.

I will start by saying if I were grading their sticky toffee pudding alone it would be five stars. Hands down delightful and delicious, highly recommend that dessert!
As for the rest, I will stick strictly to food as I am an American who has different expectations of service and I know we expect more in general.
I got the chorizo and scallops. The chorizo was great but the scallops weren't cleaned well and had a funny taste and texture, would not recommend. I also had the smocked haddock soup which was watery and had little taste - the taste it did have was not good.
Beautiful scenery while

It is painful to write this review. We've been here a hour and 10 minutes. Still waiting for our dessert. We had a very bland cream of haddock soup and waited 35 minutes and had to ask for our main course. The sea bass fish and chips was disappointing, very soft. The chips were little potato cubes that were overcooked. After another 30 minutes we asked for our dessert. We couldn't get our bill and finally walked to the register. In total we spent 1 hour and 30 minutes to get a very mediocre meal. This place is busy and they are totally disorganized. Two other places were recommended

The food here was really good. I had the mussels and chips, which I cannot recommend enough, and I thought to also be the best price for what I got. Others with me got the salmon molla, smoked salmon, fried brie, and seafood chowder. Everyone was quite happy with their dishes.
Downside is it is quite expensive. A half lobster is 25£, and for the same thing plus crab legs and 6 langoustines in Islay we paid 20£. Also the service wasn't great. We had to go find the server to get napkins after our food arrived, the bread came much later after our meal, and water was sparse.

I was really delighted by the food and service at EE-Usk. We got reservations for two only a couple of hours ahead of time. Good thing, too - it was packed by the time we left around 7:30, and in January! My main dish were the Thai fish cakes - I loved them! The waitress made excellent wine recommendations as they have a lot to choose from. We got a cheese plate to end our meals which included a charcoal cheddar you must try! Fresh, beautiful seafood cooked and served with love -thanks!

We had spent a full day on the water and came here with expectations of being fed well. None of us left disappointed. The seafood was extremely fresh, the view was spectacular, and the waiter was attentive. Whether you are a tired salty visitor or looking for a romantic dinner, go here. Don't miss out on the wine specials and deserts before you go home.

Ee-Usk serves us as-fresh-as-it-gets seafood, much of it caught right in Oban and all of it sourced from the area. We started with the bowl of mussels, all of which was plump and fresh, really well cooked. For mains, we ordered the monkfish scampi -- which to our surprise was essentially monkfish fish and chips -- and the dressed crab. Everything was fresh and tasty, the crab was stuffed with meat, and even the chips were good -- lightly and crispy and just a little salty. For dessert, we rounded out with the Bailey's bread pudding, which was sinfully sweet and moist. All told, we paid around

Second time at this restaurant within a couple of years. Living in the US, and visiting Oban, Scotland. I always have to make a pit stop for dinner. The fresh seafood that is delivered daily straight for the sea is a must to try. We were told that it does get pretty busy during the dinner hour. So reservations would be recommended.

The restaurant is located right in the heart of Oban with a view of the sea and marina. There's the main seating area downstairs and an upstairs area. The menu of course serves plenty of seafood fresh from the sea. They do have daily special so be sure to check

They have a good offering of seafood and cooked my scallops excellently, however could do with better menu variety. My scallops were served with two sides, potatoes and assorted greens, both in similar white/cream sauces. Most of the main dishes on the menu were the same. Would be great if they had a few other choices for how you want your seafood done.

Getting in here can be a bit of a challenge but it's worth it! And it's also a bit pricey but again - worth it! We had to wait a bit to get a table (no reservation) and they seated us in a little area upstairs that felt like someones living room; sofas and a table.

There is no air conditioning here or anywhere I think in Oban! And here we were on a day in the mid 70's. But after a bit you acclimate and then you order the seafood. Yes yes yes for that seafood. I don't recall what I ordered (it was good though) but I was all over DH's seafood platter. I am now officially
