Ardencote and the adjoining land of 103 acres was bought by Mr. Tom Brown, an Irish financier who farmed the land until his death in 1980. The estate was then purchased by a consortium headed by a Major Cotteril, with the intention of updating Ardencote to a Country Club based around squash and Leisure facilities.

Works Christmas party was held here. Superb location, beautiful setting, lakes, fountains, ducks etc Friendly staff and lovely rooms. Had superb response from reception when our electricity blew less than an hour before the party.
Breakfast was amazing, the sausages were probably the best I have ever tasted.
Only small negative was the food at the party was not as top notch as the rest of the experience.
Overall I would give 4.5 stars but as that option wasn't available, I went for 4 stars.

Absolutely lovely place, grounds stunning, staff very attentive, food was amazing with plenty of choice, loved finishing off our stay with cooked breakfast. Room was lovely. Good selection for hot drinks in the room. Relaxation area lovely, we chilled with cuppa and they had put mince pies out, great start to our visit. Lovely touch found in our robe pocket was sachets of cleanser and moisturiser. Only disappointment for our visit was outside hot tub was broken which we were really looking forward to using but look forward to using it next time. Treatment rooms were relaxing. No issues with parking

Destination spa is lovely, loved the ice fountain and monsoon rain shower. We stayed at Ardencote for an overnight spa break. I am a bigger lady (size 22) and thought I might have an issue fitting into the robes so I called the night before to ask if extra large sizes were available and was reassured that I would be able to have an XL one. I had said otherwise I’d bring my own. On arrival I was told all of the robes are one size and it didn’t fit! Having to walk around all day in a robe that didn’t fit was uncomfortable and meant I was stared at by other guests, it was very embarrassing.

Destination Spa, restaurant and golf course. Nice place for special celebrations, like weddings. Bit far from everything, quiet but comfortable place to recharge. The only thing I have to point out was the look of the golf club member at us, like we don't belong or doesn't suppose to be there. Shame for that, otherwise pleasant stay.

Just spent 5 nights dinner, bed & breakfast.
Lovely big room with views over golf course and lake.
Food excellent, served by pleasant, professional staff.
Took full advantage of spa, used indoor pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi every day.
Hotel set in lovely grounds with plenty of places to visit near by.

I viewed this hotel as a potential venue for an external work meeting and was really impressed with the grounds and the feel of the place.
The Manor House is the main building and has a oldie worldie feel to it. Infact the whole place does!
There are plenty of conference rooms here including bedrooms that are situated close by to the conference building. Very handy!
The spa and gym is well facilitated offering plenty of spa packages and treatments. They have a hot tub outside where drinks can be served while you have a soak and there is an outside and indoor swimming pool.
A fairly new brassiere
