A traditional Italian trattoria by the River Thames, we offer a warm welcome; Cantina is the perfect spot for a quick bite of lunch or relaxed dinner. The interior of the restaurant is just as alluring as the setting: a mural of an Italian marketplace runs the length of the dining room while terracotta floor tiles and black and white 'metro' wall tiles give the place a cosmopolitan feel.

I don't understand why this place has good reviews. We were totally disappointed with the experience. First the good bits... the arancini and bread was delicious. The location is very nice.
The service was so poor. We had the most unfriendly waitress who made us feel uncomfortable and awkward the whole time we were there. She failed to get a drink we requested and seemed to have an attitude the whole time until it came to paying.
We really wanted to remove service charge but being awkwardly British we couldn't be bothered with the hassle of getting this removed.
The three mains we had were very

We had a really nice dinner for two on Friday 21st of January . I had asked for a table by the window during reservation and we were expected and greeted on arrival . Nice welcome staff . We particularly enjoyed aranchini and calamari. Carbonara pasta was rich and flavoursome. The pannacota dessert was beautiful , so fresh and elegant . Thank you Cantina. We will be back !

Went here for their special New Years Eve dinner menu.
The dessert was extremely underwhelming for a special occasion and expensive night out.
It was some brioche bread with custard on top! Who serves bread for dessert at midnight?!
Just serve a people-pleaser like a classic tiramisu as a minimum.
Main course of white fish was also very average - dry, not much flavour and had loads of bones in it too!
2 stars as starters were great, and the truffle ravioli was delicious.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to a friend besides the river view.

On a recent visit from Liverpool to London we found this absolute gem of a place, beautiful location, we sat out on the terrace with the perfect view of the Tower Bridge. The food was amazing, the Burrata salad to start was so fresh, my husband got the Arancini with black truffle, these were the best Arancini we have tasted. We went for the Carbonara for 2 which came in a huge cheese wheel, it was then served up to us by the waiter after being tossed through all of the cheese, again, absolutely amazing. Our son went for the gnocci in truffle butter, this too was the best gnocci we have had (We

Friendly staff and great location in the heart of Shad Thames / Butler's Wharf.
The Italian menu is limited, but that's a good thing as so many restaurants feel the need to cram way too many options on the menu. Keeping it simple means more attention to better quality food - and the food at Cantina Del Ponte is fabulous; light and fresh and incredibly flavoursome.
Ours was accompanied by a bottle of Gavi, a classic Italian wine that it's hard to go wrong with.
All in all a great location for excellent food and lovely waiting staff. Highly recommended and somewhere we will definitely be returning

For my birthday I went with my girlfriend to dinner in this restaurant and I do nothing but recommend it to anyone from that day, starters of which the carbonara, second and sweet top ... delicious fish the wine and the sympathy of the staff make in the background, a more than excellent location, you are under one of London's monuments enjoying a typical Italian dish, what more do you want ... honest prices and if you miss Italy, here, at least for a while you feel at home here

We came here on a Friday night for dinner and drinks and it did not disappoint. Very attentive service. Almost too much really as we were chatting so much and we were never ready to order. Our waitress have advice on some recommended dishes and we thoroughly enjoyed them. My partner had the lasagne and I had the crab spaghetti linguine (the special that day). Both were absolutely delicious! Desserts were divine also. The only thing that wasn't quite right were the main portion sizes of the mains. If you were wanting to leave full you'd definitely want a starter on top.
