St John's Dental Practice
We will make you and your family feel as welcome as possible. We take all the time to listen and to understand your needs, whilst helping you to make healthy choices about your oral health. We will take care of your oral health and teeth for life, providing you with regular check-ups, hygienist services and treatment when needed.

From smile makeovers to veneers and white fillings, we offer a range of cosmetic treatments to give you a smile you will love. Behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Our family-run practice has been established for over 85 years and is located in Oxford City Centre.
Services
We have one ground floor surgery for our physically disabled patients. Please let us know in advance if you have a problem with stairs, and we will ensure that you are given an appointment in the ground floor treatment room. Our Patient Charter is a statement of how our Dental Practice operates and the standards of care that we apply to all our patients.
Crowns can be used to cover and protect damaged or weak teeth. A crown is a type of dental restoration that completely caps a tooth or dental implant and is typically bonded to the tooth using dental cement. The tooth will be reshaped, to ensure that once the crown is fitted, it remains the same size and shape as the natural teeth.
You may be wondering why a dentist would be working in non-surgical facial aesthetics. The truth is that dentists are actually ideally placed to perform such treatments, since they have undergone 5 years of undergraduate educations focusing on the just the face, never mind the postgraduate training that follows!
Our initial assessment includes a thorough consultation with an implant dentist, a detailed examination, x-rays and a comprehensive personal treatment plan. Every patient is provided with a written treatment plan with the costs of implant treatment clearly laid out. Although every treatment plan is specific to each individual, the following may help as a guide to our prices.
When you first visit our practice, we will check your teeth and mouth; measurements of gum health will be made and your mouth will be screened for oral cancer and x-rays will be taken. After listening to your concerns and discussing treatment options we will create a personal treatment plan based on the information from this visit.

I was recommeded to this practice by a friend and have never turned back.
Staff are always so welcoming and the dentist always goes over and above to make me feel comfortable and at ease throughout my appointments. I'm quite shocked at some of the previous negative reviews (clearly someone was having a bad day) and had to say my piece.
Great practice, great service and would highly recommend.

Moralless heartless con artists!
If you are trying to find a dentist who accepts NHS patients, avoid this one at all costs. Their scam is to trap you in, then sell you their expensive private treatments. My dentist totally ignored my pain, refused to give me any treatment, instead advised me to see their private specialist and lied about NHS options and charged me for the advice.
After reading many horror stories about their dentists, I actually feel lucky that she didn’t give me any treatments, otherwise she could have messed me up badly.
NHS and CQC really should inspect this practice.

As someone who is at best, apprehensive, at visiting Dentists, and have avoided going over a good few years - having been recommended this place by a friend of mine, I just want to say what a great team they have here at St John's.
I always find I get a very personable experience whenever I visit for any of the work i've had done over the last few months. Ella on reception is always a welcome sight on arriving, especially when she's reassuring me I'll be fine... even though i'm nearly 30..
Whether you deal with Ella, or Maisey on reception I believe you get a very professional and accommodating

Dr Sita Madaan is the best dentist anyone could hope for. In the past year I have changed eight very old fillings. Dr Madaan did such a fantastic job that not even I can remember now which teeth are which! Zero pain, absolute perfection. I was also impressed with the professional behaviour of Dr Madaan and her colleagues- always responsive, always willing to respond to my questions.
Our children have also been attending St John's practice for five years now and we are always more than delighted with their service. Even when one child had a clicky jaw, they went out of their way to guide and support

I took my 5 and half year old for the second time to the dentist ,having her first dentist in London and she was terrified of dentist because of her first time. She loved it at St John's Practice.I'm so impressed how well prepared everybody was to have children in the practice.
I also took my one and half year old for his first time there and we had the BEST experience with dentist! I fully recommend this practice to the moon and back!
Keep it up!
Thank you

I went to this dentist for a new patient check up. The appointment itself lasted about 5 minutes by the end of which they suggested I needed over £700 worth of private treatment and did not make it clear that the alternative NHS option was over 10 times cheaper.
I went to my previous dentist for another checkup to be safe and they said there was no sign anything needed to be done.
Don't be enticed by open NHS patient slots

I cannot rate this dental practice highly enough. The level of professionalism and friendliness is second to none!
I am not great at going to the dentist (not afraid just lazy), it has always felt like something I could put off until I couldn’t. I lost a sizeable filling, no chance of refilling, amber you need to have a crown. The staff put my mind at ease every step of the way.
All of my options were clearly presented to me and the pricing matrix was crystal clear. In the past I have felt in other practices that the staff try and steer you to the more expensive treatment options but this was

I had a very poor experience here and felt like I was being ripped off. The dentist spent the whole time being patronising and trying to make me feel bad for not being able to afford £3000 braces that I didn’t even need. I also had an overpriced filling that came out after just a few weeks and they refused to repair it. I ended up going to another Oxford dentist to get the filling redone which was both cheaper and came with a year guarantee. It’s now been over six months and it’s still going strong. I can now see how poor my service at St John’s Dental had been.

I don’t normally leave reviews as there is always something that just takes the cherry off the cake, but I have to say the experience I have had through my treatment program, has been so professional, personal, and well worth it, I would highly recommend, as the bespoke personal touch, is few and far between these days.
Thank you team and Dr Carman Pop

I have been a patient of Dr Subari since he first took over the practice. He has always been the most friendly, sympathetic and competent dentist I have ever met. Over this time he has given me exact descriptions and possibilities of proposed treatments, then carried them out with great care and sensitivity. I thoroughly recommend him and his team to anyone who has any dental problem.
