The offer is straightforward: a perfect pint and a superb meal, cooked on the premises using local ingredients, fresh and seasonal, at a reasonable price. Our motivation is two-fold. First, we're a pub, not a restaurant, so we serve pub food at pub prices. Second, we're in beautiful Cornwall, so the kitchen is inspired by the county's outstanding quality and range of home-grown ingredients and products.
We want to welcome families, so there's colouring activities to entertain little ones, small portion sizes on the menu, and baby-changing facilities. The late Georgian listed building is located right in the heart of St Ives, minutes from the harbour front and beaches.

Services
Matt Perry of the Queens Hotel on the High Street in St Ives is making a name for himself in this gastropub with rooms. Delicious venison in Winter, and a Sunday roast draws a full house. We were away at Camp Bestival that weekend but fortunately the Guardian was the festival's media partner so it was easy to get hold of a copy.
Pristine beaches, the Tate, great places to eat and a multitude of galleries, great shopping, all nestled within a charming and spectacular setting. It's no surprise that St Ives is one of the country's most popular resorts: winner of the Guardian's 'best seaside resort', 4th top TripAdvisor beach destination 2012, winner of Coast magazine's 'Best Seaside Town' in 2012 and British Travel Awards 2012 'Best UK Coastal Town'.

Stayed at the Queens just before Christmas had a lovely time. All the staff friendly couldn't do enough for you although we stayed in a small double the room was clean and the bed comfortable. Breakfast set you up for the day and the meals at night very good. This is the third time we have stayed can't fault it. A big thankyou to all the staff

Stayed for 2 nights in a comfy room, though a bit noisey as faced onto the street, however the staff were lovely and the full english breakfast was very tasty.
Would stay again but maybe book a room at the back of the hotel.
Great base though as right in the middle of everything you might want to see or visit.

Whatever happened to the Queens? Used to be one of the finest Pub’s in Cornwall. Nowadays most of the charming unique furniture is gone, cold lights instead of dim warm atmosphere, service in a mess - and a reduced menu of “Pub Classics” which appear to be reminiscent of the way pub food was back in the days.

Wonderful and friendly staff.
Room had a very comfy feeling and fairly clean. Toilets were well aerated. Overall simplistic design that feels like home.
Lacking amenities and other facilities that make it 4 star worthy. However 4 stars for cleanliness.
Most impressive was breakfast service which is exclusive to hotel guests only.
Side entrance could be improved and signs for the hotel entrance could be more visible.

Absolutely incredible service here every time we went in. The staff couldn't do more to help and are a real credit to the owners here.
From squishing in to a last minute meal to making recommendations of drinks nothing was too much trouble for them.
Thank you so much for adding to the wonderful memories we have of St Ives! ❤️

Apart from the noise the first night from the room next door. Had no complaints. Nice clean rooms , good Breakfast and very friendly helpful staff. Can be a bit of noise in the evening. Which is to be expected during busy summer period. 2 nights on the first floor then had 2 nights on the top floor in the roof. Brilliant on the top floor. Looking forward to visiting again later in the year. 😀😀😀

Last Sunday these guys kindly accommodated me despite a busy session - it was one of the best roast pork dinners.
This evening - mussels in cream & white wine sauce with a glass of house white followed by beef stew and dumplings with vegetables and a large glass of house red.
Love these guys. Great food. Great team. Thank you.
