Irma studied at the Select Fashion Academy for three years with a further course in men's tailoring soon after finishing senior high school. She then went to Kirsting Academy of Fashion in Johannesburg, South Africa to further her studies.

I can’t thank Irma enough for totally transforming my wedding dress. I bought an off the rack dress from another shop which was pretty ill fitting on the bust. Irma worked an absolute miracle on it and made it the dress of my dreams! I am someone who always wears padded bras but Irma added just the right amount of shape/padding so I didn’t even need to wear a bra at all on my wedding day. I literally felt like a princess on my big day thanks to Irma. Thank you sooooooooo much!!! Would recommend to anyone ❤️❤️❤️

I took a pair of trousers and a top to Irma quite recently which I bought from abroad. The smallest size of the outfit came up quite big on me but as I loved the design so much I didn’t want to send it back. After meeting with Irma she managed to fit the outfit to my quite small frame perfectly. I am absolutely delighted with the result and I can’t wait to wear my new outfit! Irma is so friendly and immediately put me at ease, she is a real talent and I could not recommend her more.

Terrible service! Wouldn’t ever recommend it to anyone. Brought a new dress to get it altered and it was just ruined, will have to pay for someone to make a skirt from it now.

So much disappointment and worries...
3 month before our wedding my wife ordered a dress, this dress arrived few hours before the wedding... but its not the worst !
I order at the same place a 3 pieces suit and 3 shirts for our wedding... none of them were ready she gave me a "suit" half finished which was close to fall apart. I had to buy an other suit and shirts 2 hours before my wedding.
Go there only if your couple is strong enough to handle this hell, otherwise run far from this place if you want a peaceful pre-wedding.

I went to Irma Selin Couture to have my dress altered after finding out I was pregnant. The dress is a tulle ball gown with loads of layers and low bodice. When I had my first appointment Irma came across very professional and extremely experienced in what she does. I had a lot of doubt within myself that changing the dress would not work but she made me feel at ease and confident that she would be able to make it happen. She let out the seams at the sides of the bodice so I was able to do up the zip, the skirt was lifted at the front of the dress to make room for my growing bump underneath and

Irma literally saved my wedding. Long story short my dress arrived from overseas too late and the wrong size. Irma worked until very late and hand crafted a stunning crepe dress from scratch within 48 hours.
Not only that, but she's an expert at what she does. She knows about form, shape and fabrics.
I cannot recommend her highly enough !
