Vinarius
As independent Wine Merchant our praxis is to source exceptional wines from small wineries, brave viticulturalists and rare grape varieties making them accessible to all our customers, also offering our products and services to selected off-trade and on-trade establishments. As a traditional enoteca we serve wine by the glass and delicious food.

Our menu is simple but packed with the finest ingredients from Italian and French artisan producers. With a friendly and convivial atmosphere Vinarius is the ideal place for wine tastings & supper clubs, aperitifs or for a light meal. Vinegar is often considered one of the worst enemies in the winemaking world but in this occasion we have reverted it into a "force for good".
Services

Sommariva is at the heart and the original area of the Prosecco production: right in the middle between the towns of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene which is now a DOCG Prosecco Superiore appellation. Here the young but very dedicated owner Cinzia Sommariva is continuing the family tradition of making a truly.

Dropped in to grab a quick takeaway and ended up with a delicious lobster tagliatelle paired with a perfect cerano cerasuolo d'abruzzo rosé. Such hospitality from Matteo, thank you.

Lovely little wine shop/bar. I have been to drink, to eat and for a themed tasting and was impressed every time. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff, clearly passionate about what they do. You can try a good range of wines here, have a nibble or a full meal.

Great little gem to find in the neighbourhood. I've discovered so many new wines, mainly French and Italian thanks to the knowledgeable staff.

I love going here with a few friends on a Friday evening after work to share a nice bottle and some nibbles. The menu isn't extensive but just enough to keep the hunger at bay!

If beers your thing they also have a good range to try!

In summary it makes all the difference to go here and speak to someone who actually knows their stuff. You walk away with something really tasty for £5-£7! And if you sign up to their mailing list you'll

Just say yes! I was so excited when Roman Road got it's own wine bar/shop and this place definitely ticks all the boxes. Really knowledgeable helpful staff, fantastic selection and a range of prices. What I really like is that these guys are just as helpful when I want a glass of purse-friendly wine, as when I came in to blow the budget on a super special bottle as a gift.

I recommend the truffle paste they sell, amazing for making it look like you've made a big fancy effort when all you've done is chuck a jar of stuff into some cream and tagliatelle. Thank you Italy for

Great wine selection and friendly staff to advice on the right wine for taste and occasion. Lots to choose from around £20 mark. Would definitely recommend Chateau-Bizard (2011) that comes in around £19. Looking forward to visit this wine shop many times next year.

Finally made it in for wine and nibbles, and am so happy I did!

Our group of 3 found a cozy candlelit table in the back, and order a selection of wines by the glass that were on offer and very reasonably priced, between £4.50-£5.50 per glass. The menu is small but has all the essentials that a wine bar should have- charcuterie and cheese, tapenade, bread olives etc.

After one glass we decided to try a bottle, and on recommendation by the staff ordered a lovely red from the cote du Rhone region, which was lush and velvety and fairly priced at £17.50 (plus £5 corkage to drink in).

Lovely

Lovely little wine bar and shop on Roman Rd. Great selection of wine from unique suppliers and the whole range of Wild Card brewery beers as well as delicious meat and cheese platters. The owners are always happy to give recommendations and the background behind everything you taste. They also let you buy a bottle and open it there for the best value. Really great place for a chilled out evening at the weekend; recommend signing up to the mailing list when you're there for news of tasting evenings and events.
