This approach to wine quickly spread leading to the opening of Crouch End in 2012, Clapham in 2014, and Primrose Hill in 2015. All four locations carry our belief that customers should be able to explore wine without intimidation.
At the same time we strive to offer much more than the often predictable off-license or supermarket selections, by carrying a broad range of wines at various price points and believe anyone should be able to buy a great bottle at a competitive price, without compromising on flavour or quality. All the wines sold in our shops and online are colour-coded, food matched and concisely described.

Bottle Apostle has four independent wine shops across London. Originally opened in 2009 in Hackney's Victoria Park Village, it has expanded to Crouch End in 2012, Clapham in 2014, and Primrose Hill in 2015. All four shops are equipped with Enomatic sampling machines allowing you to try-before you buy and sample 16 wines anytime.
We believe customers should be able to explore wine without feeling intimidated. We strive to offer our customers much more than the predictable off-license or supermarket selections while still aiming to be within a competitive price range. Growing up in Hungary it was inevitable to develop a soft spot for wine - especially Tokaji (which in Laz's opinion is still the greatest wine EVER).
We opened the Crouch End Bottle Apostle wine shop in early 2012. With few areas in London offering a village feeling, we were drawn to Crouch End, which has that unique impression of a small village yet it's only in North London's N8. Like our East London branch, it is surrounded by many other independent businesses, and similarly we aim to offer the same friendly, approachable and informative service in both shops.
Similar to our Hackney and Crouch End locations, Clapham has a strong community focused on supporting its local independents which we're ecstatic to be a part of. As always, we'll strive to bring an eclectic selection of wines with the same degree of informative service paired with a friendly, approachable environment.
The area needs no introduction, and we're thrilled to be part of yet another London community driven by thriving independent businesses. As always, we'll strive to bring an eclectic selection of wines with the same degree of informative service paired with a friendly, approachable environment.
Like our other locations we will always have 16 wines to sample at any time using our unique Enomatic tasting machines, and a wide range of unmissable events to attend.Amedeo was born among the vineyards of Valpolicella, the land of Amarone, and one of Italy's best wine regions. He became a wine lover because of his mother, who used to tell him to avoid drinking cola during the meals and start sipping wine instead.

Always excellent range of classic and quirky wines available; Turley Zinfandel, Shafer Chardonnay, Cazottes Mauzac and Tondonia Rioja Blanco to name just a few! Dethune Champagne was knockout! Safe covid practices, and always someone on hand to talk to for advice, really grateful to have this in our community!

Staff were friendly helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. They gave me detailed descriptions of the wine which I appreciated. After focusing on cremant I asked for any sparkling recommendation and was given at Cava that was one of my favourite sparkling wines Iâve had this year, full of yeast and cream notes.

Finding my local wine shop to be closed and following good reviews, I visited this wine shop earlier today.
I would describe my experience as not as expected.
Walking towards the entrance, I was told with just enough politeness to get away with the directness and pointing to stand by the door.
As I entered the shop, instead of an offer of assistance, I was asked to make my decision âswiftlyâ as there was a person waiting outside and the shop was closing in 15 minutes. There was no further communication other than been reminded ânot to touch the wine bottlesâ loudly from across the shop

Nice store and friendly staff.
However, went there for a bottle of champagne and after being told that they didn't sell either of the bottles I requested, relied upon their recommendation that was at the same price point for Mother's Day. The bottle bore zero resemblance to the either of the bottles I had asked for (where I also described our pallet) and we ended up pouring it out as neither of us could get through a glass let alone a bottle.
It's important to note that the bottle was not corked, etc - but was simply a complete error in judgement - which was compounded by the fact my wife wasn
