We were delighted with the external housing for the water softener which left free space under the sink. From the beginning, they’ve both had a can-do attitude, all the way from the quote over the phone, to the survey, to actually taking on a much bigger plumbing job than they had anticipated to make things work for us & help us get back to a good plumbing fix & setting up the water softener. Took the time to explain everything, made us and our landlord feel reassured every step of the way, overcommunicating as they went to ensure we were always on the same page. Having had the water softener fitted we noticed a strange noise which was looked at under the warranty but the plumber who came around broke a valve leaving us with no water pressure. We therefore had to call out an for another plumber as he said he couldn’t fix it, leaving us a bill of over £400. Friendly Water have repeatedly ignored my emails and phone messages. Will be taking this to citizens advice

Looked into getting a softener for my home due to having sensitive skin and was reassured by Friendly Water that this would be a very beneficial thing to do due to how hard the water is in my area. Carl Coleman was friendly, knowledgable and extremely helpful with the process, answered any queries I had and was very efficeint with the Installation. Living with soft water has made showering a much more easy experience for an eczema sufferer and very much changed how my outlook towards washing in general. My clothes and sheets as well have never been softer, I honestly couldn't live without a softener

The selling and installing process and service was fine but my softener leaked three times in five years and they kept charging for the repair (it seems to me the unit was faulty to start with and should have been replaced…). Also the water purifier started beeping and they wanted to replace all the cartridges when they were all green (full). They charged me for this call out even when, not only they didnt find the problem, they wanted to sell me something i didnt need. Utterly disappointing.

Unfortunately, my recent experience with Friendly Water has been hugely disappointing - the level of customer service experienced is very close to the bottom of the list for service ever received
Departments do not seem to interact with each other, promises to call back which do not happen, engineer not turning up for arranged appointment, warehouse apparently ordered a wrong part but did not advise me.
In the meantime I have now been waiting over three weeks for a resolution
All very disappointing and one star is hardly deserved!

We had our system installed in September last year and it hasn't gone very smoothly. Lately, the hot water from Quooker stopped working and no one from the company was able to contact me with advice. I understand that things are difficult at the moment but sitting at home and not even able to help remotely is not good! Would not recommend the service aspect of this business.

Great service, would definitely recommend. Our old softener stopped working and they came out and sorted it out straight away. Always a bit of a concern that a company will say it can't be fixed and try to sell you a new one, but note these guys ... very friendly, completely trustworthy and I'll certainly use them again if i need to. Great to be able to use a local business as well.

Good independent installer of water softener systems. They will recommend and install an appropriate system to meet your needs. We had one installed 2 years ago and could not imagine life without soft water now. I no longer have to scrape limescale off my taps weekly! Salt delivery is free too if you order it when they come to do the 6 monthly filter change

Their service is very efficient and friendly and their product knowledge second to none. Most important of all we now have better quality water for our family. We have just had a Hague Water Softener and Water Filter fitted by Friendly Water in our new house. We first had one fitted by them around 8-9 years ago at our previous house and the system worked perfectly the whole time, never needing a call out or servicing. They always sent reminders for filter cartridges and salt deliveries so we never had to think about this. Therefore we had no hesitation in asking them to do the install at our new address and once again we are delighted at the installation. They fitted our water softener and reverse osmosis filter in 2007. We were and are still impressed with both the equipment and the level of service they offer. From general maintenance to running repairs they have always gone the extra mile. Always generous with their time and knowledge they did not hesitate when we needed advice about choosing a new compatible boiler. Now we've lived with softened water, we never want to go back to normal water and when we move, we'll get Friendly Water in to fit a system in our next house.
