Adore is one of the longest running bridal and occasion businesses in Essex, having first started trading in Chelmsford in 1990, and now operating from our lovely pink shop on the corner of Wells Street and Railway Street. Services
At the end of each year, designers discontinue a number of gowns to make way for next season's collections. Here you will find a great selection of fabulous discontinued styles at amazing prices, which can be bought off-the peg and taken home the same day. But hurry, once they're gone, they're gone!
We stock an amazing, affordable range of bridal belts from our own in-house label Julia Joseph, designed to add glamour and sparkle to your gown. Each belt is handmade using the best duchess satin fabric, with a hand sewn exquisite diamante, crystal or pearl applique adornment. The satin belt can be made to any length and width.
New guidelines are now in place in order to give customers the reassurance they need to shop in a safe and stress-free environment. However your virtual bridal party is very welcome to join us via Facetime, Whatsapp or Zoom using our shop Wi-Fi to connect. If for any reason you cannot make it to your appointment, you are more than welcome to reschedule for another time.
Once you have decided on your dress, we will measure your bust, waist, hips and length, and then use the suppliers size chart to decide which standard size is best to order for you. We will then write out an invoice for your order, and ask for a 50% deposit which can be paid by cash, credit/debit card or cheque.
Alterations fittings are available on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays between 10am and 5pm. It is very important to note that we do not offer alterations fittings on Saturdays or Sundays, as we sincerely wish to avoid any disappointment at a later date. Alterations fittings can be booked well in advance, at the time you place your order if necessary, so that you have plenty of time to make arrangements to fit in with work or holidays.

I visited Adore Brides this week with my sister and we were delighted with the experience we received. Emily was a dream - attentive, welcoming, reassuring and not at all pushy in my quest to find the perfect dress. The shop itself is opulent and spacious with a dress to suit every budget and style. The goodie bag was a lovely touch and I can’t wait to return for my alterations next year! Thank you again for a fabulous experience, I would recommend Adore Brides in a heartbeat. 😊

Really lovely wedding dress shopping experience!
I tried on several dresses with the support and help of Emily who was extremely knowledgeable. There was no pressure to buy the dress and she was extremely clear on pricing and options. Can’t wait to have the alterations completed and wear it in the day.

I visited Adore Brides with my 2 girls for my youngest daughter's wedding dress. Customer service was absolutely excellent, especially in view of Covid restrictions. Emily made our consultation as comfortable and 'normal' as possible and went over and above to accommodate us safely without losing the magic of such an exciting time.
This was the 2nd shop of our appointments - in the 1st, we couldn't look at any dresses, just describe what style and they chose 4 dresses to try.
At Adore Brides, my daughter was able to look at and try different styles and look at veils and accessories to complete
