I'm Katie and I created my business to provide a professional and reliable pet care service in Leeds, one with a personal touch. Owning a pet is a wonderful experience but takes time and commitment. Everyday life can be demanding and it's not always possible to be at home as much as we would like. As a pet owner I understand the dilemmas that having pets can bring and I'm here to help make your lives less stressful.

Each service begins with a free consultation meeting for us to get to know each other and to design a package which best suits the needs of your pet(s) and you. My name is Katie Hamer. I live in Gledhow with my two elderly ginger toms, Bruce and Tiger, and Eric the Springerdoodle. As a child I grew up with all sorts of pets; cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, fish and even stick insects. We also had a super Irish Setter. I loved horses too and learnt to ride at a young age.
I will come to your house, collect your dog, walk him/her for an hour and then return him/her home contented with clean paws and fresh water. I can walk a dog on individually or in a group with up to three others. I go to safe dog-walking environments in Leeds, such as parks, woodlands and countryside where the dogs can enjoy a great romp on or off the lead.
Cats are creatures of comfort and love to be in their own surroundings. Rather than book them in to a cattery they can stay at home with no disruption whilst you're away. I understand the military operation that goes in to persuading a cat in to a basket and the feelings of guilt leaving them in a strange place.
I will collect your dog, walk him/her for an hour and then return them home happy and ready for a sleep! I will clean their paws, check their water, feed them and even close your curtains and leave a lamp on if you wish. I vary the places we go to but I only choose safe open environments where the dogs can play freely, such as large parks, woodland and countryside.
Instead of asking neighbours or relatives to keep an eye on your property whilst you are away I will look after your home. PerfectPaws provides a professional and reliable service allowing you the peace of mind that your home is being monitored whilst you are away. I will visit your house once or twice a day, even if you don't have any pets or have taken them away with you.

Totally reliable service, I have used Katie and her amazing care since day 1. My cats see her as a second mum, she doesn't just feed them and go, she will play with them, brushes them and sit with them for a while. I have had a couple of emergencies whilst away; an ill cat that needed a couple of vet visits and needed medication and a burglary. Katie handled it as if my pets and home were her own. I have an extremely timid cat and now she trust and sits nearer Katie. I would be lost without the support that Katie provides. Thank you, so so much from the 3 Ms, Me, Marley and Macy

Toby has been with Katie for nearly 3 years now and we all absolutely adore her! We were so worried about finding someone we trust with Toby as he is our precious little furry boy. We couldn’t have found anyone better than Katie. She is so reliable! I know Toby is being looked after and having the time of his life on his walkies! We are always so excited to see the Facebook photos at the end of the day and see what mischief he has been getting into. We love Katie & can’t thank her enough! 100% recommend her!!

Katie's Perfect Paws has walked my dog since he was a puppy, she has built a great relationship with both myself and my dog. He absolutely loves going on walks with her, rolling in the mud, swimming in the becks and getting to mingle with new dogs. Although my dog is crazy and loves to get as dirty as possible on his walks, Katie is attentive and patient with him and has helped greatly with training him to walk off the lead and not be so nervous around new and bigger dogs. Honestly, amazing dog walker and very friendly person, I couldn't ask for more!

Katie has been looking after our dog Rusty for 3 years. I cannot be more full of praise. Rusty adores her. Katie is reliable and clearly loves her jobs and the animals in her care. I would give 10 stars if I could! There’s an outlier review in here which seems a bit malicious- Katie’s perfect paws is amazing !!!

Katie has cared for our dog, Alfie, for 3 years now. She is a passionate and professional dog walker whose primary concern is the welfare of dogs in her care.
I would not hesitate to recommend her and would find it difficult to believe there is anyone better at this job, or anyone who could be dissatisfied with the service.

The wonderful Katie looks after my beautiful Charlie cat many times during the year. He (and I) absolutely love her and he comes running when he hears her key in the door! He has to be let out, then in and then be given medication every day so she really has to know him well and cater to his whims!! I really couldn't do without her in our lives! Thank you Katie for setting my mind at rest when I am away from home.

Katie was the first cat sitter I ever used and while I was a complete stress head she was and is completely fantastic and completely reliable. She always took time to play - I loved getting the photo's she would sometimes send - so trustworthy, helpful, flexible - she put my mind at rest that my fur family were being actually cared for when I was away. I've only changed as I am so far out of her area it really isn't fair and even then she said she would keep me on. You couldn't find anyone better - I want some extra stars to give her please!!

Katie has been walking my dog for 2 years now and does a fantastic job. Katie is prompt, reliable and is great with the dogs. My dog loves his walks with her groups, the dogs are always engaged, well looked after and they often play games for mental stimulation as well as physical exercise.
Katie always returns my dog clean, content and tired every time. I would recommend Katie to anyone who is looking for a dog walker in the North Leeds area.

Katie has been walking our dog Moss for ages now, and I can't recommend her enough. She is most excellent at monitoring our pooch, especially her bad habits, and takes appropriate action (often having to shout "Noooooo Mossy!!" when she is about to roll in/eat something disgusting). Thanks Katie, we always rest easy knowing Moss is out with you.

Katie is just the best! Bo absolutely adores her and has so much fun with the other dogs. I love seeing what adventures they get up to on their walks and I can go to work, safe in the knowledge she has had a great time and is thoroughly exhausted by the time I get back. Always professional, punctual and smiling, I would recommend Katie's Perfect Paws without reservation.

Katie is just the best. Simply put. My daughter found Katie just before she went away (the daughter that is). Katie came and took Stanley out every day for a week. Can't fault his new best friend at all. He's a different dog. :-) he's better behaved and far more social than he was last week. Thank you Katie, I was worried my boy, but he is fine and dandy.
