Services
At Poppleton & Appleby, as Insolvency Practitioners and Business Recovery Specialists, we offer expert advice to businesses in financial difficulties, often working alongside a client's existing professional advisers. We provide clear, practical, professional advice informed by our commercial awareness and industry knowledge.
It is not always easy for business owners to seek help for a business facing financial challenges. However, the key to solving financial difficulties is to identify the problems as soon as possible and then tackle them early and head on with specialist support. Every day, businesses fail that could, with the right advice and early intervention, recover from the challenges it faces or mitigate the impact if insolvency does prove inevitable.
Cash flow is at the core of any business, no matter how profitable they may be. If a business is experiencing cash flow problems, the first thing to do is understand WHY and address the issue swiftly. If some or all of these are being experienced by a business, we can help.
Our team of Business Recovery Specialists works alongside business owners and their professional advisors and once the cause of the problem is identified, implement swift solutions.Negotiating with creditors. Creditor pressure can quickly escalate out of control. If this pressure is not dealt with quickly and effectively, supplies can be withdrawn, credit restricted or stopped and recovery proceedings instigated.

At Poppleton & Appleby, we specialise in recovery advice and support for small to medium-sized limited companies, in the Midlands and beyond. We understand what it is like to run a business of this size and how important the right business insolvency advice at the right time can be to Directors when facing financial difficulties.
Whether receiving demands for payment, threats of CCJ's or even a Winding Up Petition, creditor pressure can very quickly damage a business, sometimes terminally. Business insolvency advice and swift action should be taken to protect both the business and its Directors. We work with business owners to decide how best to deal with creditor pressure and ensure the future survival of their business.

To liquidate your company has to be one of the low points in anyone's career however I have to give a big shout out to the guys at P&A. they made a very difficult situation far more palatable that I could ever have hoped for. Garry & Mark were superb, always at the end of the phone to answer any queries, assisted with redundancy claims and genuinely cared about the staff so much. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you all, Irene Allan

Lazy, rude and unprofessional.
I emailed Poppleton and Appleby in January (2020) and I have still not had a response from them (October 2020).
I phoned them after 4 weeks of no response, and was told that they were unable to assist at that time, and they would call me back once they knew more. I waited a further 6 weeks before calling again, and was treated very poorly on the phone, as well as the person I spoke to being rather derogatory about me when they thought I had been put on hold. I have still not had an answer to the enquiry I had.
I have never been treated quite so poorly by people
