Established in 2012, Bath Street Arches is situated opposite Gourock train station on a 'quiet' - Bath Street which runs parallel to Kempock Street (Gourock's high street). The food: Chef patron Ambrish says 'I believe my personal journey of self exploration & learning is what has led to the menu and ethos of the restaurant.
The food does not fit into any one category or cuisine - it isn't even fusion food, but this unclassified genre is a good thing. Being outside the bounds of any one category is what allows me to innovate & create without any constraints such as if one was a steakhouse, seafood restaurant, etc. Classification of food and cuisines can bind creativity in the kitchen.

Services
Our tasting menus are not just a selection of food but a sequence of food. Each course while being balanced in flavour offering a variety of texture also happens to be an introduction to the next course in the sequence. The paired drinks are elaborate and innovative and not just a pleasant accompaniment to the food.
Seats 10 comfortably in the top half of the bistro which we suggest for the best dining experience but we can accommodate up to 11 if required by adding a head of table. Seats 16 comfortably for the best dining experience but we can also accommodate a head of table in this part of our restaurant making the seating capacity 17.
Our tasting menus are not just a selection of dishes but a 'sequence' of dishes put together to take you though peaks (stronger flavours) & troughs (delicate flavours). This is done so as to allow you to enjoy and differentiate by palette between courses. Each dish, while being complete is also a little introduction to the flavours to follow on the next course in the tasting sequence.

Great lunch today - unexpectedly different and very tasty food, great service and 2 very satisfied customers. Chef/owner passionate about food and his customers. Great ideas for the future too. Eclectic menu and tasting menus available some days, complete with matched drinks if desired. Chef's table some evenings. A fab and original addition to Gourock's restaurants. Well worth 'nipping round the corner' for !

Lovely wee place with food that could compete with many high rated restaurants in Edinburgh and Glasgow. A very interesting menu and some accomplished cooking by the chef, Ambrish - I never knew the guy before my first visit, but he was kind enough to come and introduce himself to ask how our dinner had been. The food and the service are faultless, and this is the first of many visits I hope.
