At KMC Birmingham we offer a variety of meditation classes and courses that suit the needs of different people. They are open to everyone, regardless of beliefs or background and meditation experience. Our classes introduce people to simply tried and tested methods to calm the mind and develop a more positive attitude.
A four week meditation class series held online* and in-person in Birmingham city centre on Sunday mornings and in-person at venues in Sutton Coldfield and Solihull on Thursday evenings. Anxiety, stress and worry are common experiences. We can easily feel overwhelmed by what seems like a constant stream of demands on us and the uncertainty of what the future holds.
As happiness and suffering are states of mind, if we are to find the happiness we seek an understanding of our mind is essential. Through learning how our mind works, we can begin to bring our mind under control, and in this way improve the quality of our life, both now and in the future. You can book for the entire series at a discounted rate (available before course start date) or for individual dates as and when you are able to attend.
On this course we will explore how we can pacify negativity in our minds and cultivate deep happiness by developing our faith. Faith fills our mind with hope and positivity. Online option: allows to access to the live streamed event at the scheduled date/time as well as access to a video recording of the session available for 7 days.
In an uncertain and busy world; children, parents and carers need a place to go where they can learn to develop harmony and methods for calming the mind and strengthening the modern family. These classes offer a simple introduction to meditation and Buddha's teachings by emphasising kindness, respect for others, and keeping a happy heart.

I visited here this week with an open mind and gave meditation a go. I have to say I had a positive experience. The teacher was very friendly. It was only a 20 minute session but I was suprised by the effect it had on me and I felt happy and positive for the rest of the day. I would consider returning.

Very welcoming and accepting atmosphere. Attended a few classes over the last few months and have found the resident teacher to be incredibly kind hearted and warm. Her words and the classes overall are always insightful and inspiring.
Described as a "gym for the mind" on their website and this is entirely accurate. The guided meditation exercises and readings/teachings stretch the mind, allowing you to open up - a workout that leaves you feeling invigorated and content.
