Services
We deal with many different documents for use overseas both for Corporations and for private Individuals. Consent to Travel [permission for children to travel abroad, especially when travelling without both parents]. One of our many services is being able to offer clients an international courier service.
We have over 25 years of experience with Notarial Matters. Chris Atkinson, our Notary has retired as a Solicitor after forty years to be a full-time Notary. He therefore can usually deal with Notarial duties immediately -same day- if required. If it is more convenient to see you at your home or office due to your busy schedule then this is no problem for us, we can travel to see you if required.
An Apostille is a one-page document issued by the Government that acts as a certificate of authentication to support and prepare legal paperwork [Notary Certificate, Educational Qualification -Degrees etc.] for international acceptance. Many countries require your important English legal documents to be authenticated within their country of origin [England] before they can be accepted as valid.
In 2008 ceased practice as a solicitor and now work full time as Notary Public in Leeds and the Yorkshire area. I have many years of experience in both the legal and medical sectors, always with emphasis on excellent customer care. I started my career as an office junior in Gordons Wright & Wright Solicitors (later, just "Gordons") in Bradford in 1997 and then progressed to become Legal secretary to Chris Atkinson.
Our Fee is based on our time engaged - we do not charge "per document" - the minimum fee for 25 minutes of the Notary's time is 100 plus VAT. If we take longer than 25 minutes then this goes up pro rata. When you attend for your appointment that is when we commence work and that is when the clock will start - we prefer to deal with the papers in your presence.

I clearly explained what was needed for my visa application within my first email, though Atkinson Notary created further confusion to the process instead of simplifying it. They didnt follow up with updates (wasted time and money), created further worry due to miss information in emails (i.e. writing the wrong countries embassy within update emails). Generally didn't follow initial instructions and refused to take responsibility for any of the time and money that was wasted during this process (essentially charging me for additional services to rectify the issues that were caused by Atkinsons

I have been trying to get some documents notarised for a few weeks. There seems to be a huge variance in the quality and cost of these services provided locally, especially with the Covid -19 situation.
To my pleasant surprise Atkinsons Notary has been a great experience!
