Set in splendid rolling countryside Gallaber Farm is a small secluded caravan park in a peaceful location but just a 15 minute stroll from the lovely Dales village of Burton in Lonsdale which has a well stocked community run shop and Post Office, Church, Chapel and a pub serving very good food, plus an all weather tennis court, a bowling green and a recreation field with swings slides and climbing frame near the beautiful River Greta.

A fantastic first caravan holiday for 1yr old Chloe, rest of the family stayed in 2 tourers & we had plenty of room for entertaining & for the little ones to play. Thank you for a very comfortable, clean caravan. We have had a wonderful week even if there has been heavy rain & wind. We have certainly fallen in love with this area due to the beauty of the scenery & the warm welcome we got from everyone we met.
The most recent addition to the farm is a two bedroom holiday cottage which was converted from an old barn. It is situated at the highest point on the farm and so has stunning views of Ingleborough and the surrounding fells and on a clear day you can see some of the Lake District hills and be prepared for some amazing sunsets!
We regularly rent a cottage twice a year around the UK & can honestly say this is the best yet. Such beautiful surroundings, such friendly hosts, fantastic views & a lovely cosy cottage. We loved our stay in the "upside down house" as the boys called it, everything we needed & more. Great 4 poster bed with lovely pillows & duvet.
At the heart of Gallaber farm is our herd of 50 pedigree Limousin cows, which was established in 1989. The herd is run on a very commercial basis alongside 500 mule and Swaledale ewes. We aim to breed naturally well muscled cattle with calm temperament. The intention of the herd is to breed cattle suitable for breeding, with the best 5 or 6 heifers being retained in the herd every year for replacements.

Just back from 4 nights staying in the Ingleborough static caravan. The 'van was clean and very comfortable. Central heating was an unexpected and welcome feature, as the evenings did get quite cold.
Gallaber Farm is a great central location for exploring the Lakes (only an hour away) and some very local fabulous attractions and walks. Many thanks to Jennie and her husband for making us feel welcome. We'll be back soon.
