During these difficult times, getting access to support is more important than ever. I offer my services via the free teleconferencing service Zoom. Hypnotherapy works very well in this way (prior to the outbreak, a third of my sessions were conducted online anyway) so have a read of the information on this website and get in touch.

People choose to work with me because they receive practical help that really makes a difference. My approach is thorough and effective, placing expert advice and understanding above all else. Since 2005, I have helped many people overcome their difficulties. Weight loss: Healthy eating, portion control, motivation to exercise, selective eating disorders, etc.

You're driving along the motorway and your tire bursts. In this scenario, fear is a helpful response - you're in a dangerous situation and need to react quickly. You're driving along the motorway and, for no obvious reason, you're feeling panicky and upset. This fear is unhelpful: there is no immediate danger, and the anxiety is impairing your ability to drive.
When we struggle with low self-confidence, life can feel difficult. We become 'stuck in a rut' and hesitant, constantly comparing ourselves to others or missing out on life's opportunities. Everything becomes daunting. I have an expert understanding of confidence, and I've helped hundreds of people in Manchester realise their potential and live happy lives.
For example, the fear of flying can make people anxious for days before their flight. They then panic at the airport, feeling terrible when boarding the plane, when the doors close, during episodes of turbulence, etc. And then it starts again with the return journey! Phobias are upsetting, limiting, and unlikely to 'just vanish', which is why you might benefit from some help.
Some people are prone to gaining weight. And in our image-conscious culture, this leaves us self-conscious, judged, and feeling envious of others. Nobody wants to stand out for the wrong reasons. There are also health implications. When carrying excess weight, the risk of heart disease, diabetes, and stroke increases, and high blood pressure can be a problem.
Most smokers have a love-hate relationship with their smoking habit: it is occasionally enjoyable, it can sometimes be social, and it often gives them a break from the routine. However, in this day and age smoking has become socially less acceptable. And of course, there are health risks: the increased risk of cancer, heart disease, stroke, gum disease, and more.

After years of numerous counselling sessions, there were still a few niggling issues that just wouldn't go. This was my last resort, & up there with one of the best things I've done. I'm not sure how, but Adrian helped clear up any of the ongoing issues I've had for over 10 years now. The changes I've made during my time with him have amazed me, and I couldn't of asked for more! Will be forever grateful for his help in helping me to overcome some of my deepest issues!

I was very skeptical about first seeing a therapist. But after the first session, Adrian opened my mind that was severely trapped by my phobia of failure and procrastination; caused by a difficult childhood that was ultimately limiting my achievements. I was riding the wave of mediocrity and everyday was becoming more and more frustrating knowing that I should be doing better; which in turn made me unhappy and anxious most of the time. Suicidal? Not entirely, but the frequency of those thoughts were increasing year by year, and looking back I honestly don’t know how much more I could have endured

I was quite nervous about seeing a therapist, as I hadn't really gotten any professional help before. Adrian was recommended by a friend who went to him for a fear of flying. After the first consultation it was like speaking with an actual human being, as opposed to a "and how did that make you feel?", chaise longue' sort of stereotype. Adrian really helped me to understand my anxiety and through a series of techniques, lessen it. Adrian is an amazing therapist and I can’t thank him enough! I saw him in January to discuss hypnotherapy for weight loss. Over the last few years I had put on a huge amount of kilos due to medication and health problems mainly, and once things calmed down I was struggling getting back to my normal weight.
Adrian saw me for initial assessment, patiently heard me out and told he how he could help me. Obviously this is no a miracle solution and I also got started on a proper diet and workouts, but his sessions were a huge part of my success. I didn’t get to see him for face-to-face sessions

I will never be able to thank Adrian enough -I came to see Adrian last year after reaching an all time low after 33 years of low self esteem. Adrian was frank yet empathetic, direct but supportive, and excellent at articulating things in a way for me to understand and practice outside of his sessions. all with good humour too!! I cannot recommend his services enough - I genuinely feel like a new person with the skills to effectively cope with whatever is thrown at me as a result of my sessions!
