As a result of another well known, family run ferry business being sold out in 2014, Funfish Trips and then WeFerry were born. Founded by some of the crew of Greenway Ferry's famous WWII Rescue Motor Launch "The Fairmile", we've quickly and extraordinarily made quite a name for ourselves. Perhaps it's the bright Orange, Red & Yellow livery - or more likely the imprint we leave on our customers memories.
We operate lots of different Boat Trips, from Fishing Trips, Ferries, Round Robins, Sunset Cruises and much more. Our pledge is to provide quality attractions and the best experiences to our customers. Great boat tours, on colourful boats, at great prices - from a local, independent, family run company.

Services
Look out for our bright Orange, Red and Yellow boats sailing daily across the bay. Our traditional boats are stooped in history, and are the most pleasurable way to explore our beautiful area (in our opinion!). Both ferries have bars and toilets on board and are run by a happy, fun, helpful and informative crew.
When you book (either online or telephone), you'll receive your ticket by email along with clear, simple directions, contact details and helpful information so you know exactly where to hop on! Our boats depart Torquay from a couple of different departure points depending on the type of boat trip. Your departure point will be stated in your booking confirmation.
In 2018 we successfully launched our exciting new venture - The Teignmouth Round Robin. We took hundreds of people from Brixham, Paignton & Torquay on a boat & rail adventure up a forgotten span of coastline. You can get far closer to the shoreline along this part of the Seafood coast than most other day cruises locally - You wont be needing binoculars to appreciate the beauty and wildlife.
The coastal cruise to Teignmouth takes just over a couple of hours, and we call at Paignton Harbour at 11am and Torquay Harbour at 11:30am to collect other passengers. The cruise to Teignmouth takes us up close and personal to most of the natural sights and wonders on the English Riviera Coast.
We sail up and out of the Northern side of Torbay into Teignmouth bay, and along the way we pass Hopes Nose, Thatcher Rock & The Orestone - home to many native sea bird species. The skipper will point out spots and places of interest before we soon arrive into the Teignmouth Estuary - into Teignmouth, known locally as the "Gem of the Southwest".

Great, friendly and professional service. The day we went the captain and crew were amazing. The weather was less than ideal and even before we set foot on the ferry, Captain John explained clearly what conditions we should expect, and with two young children with us, offered a full refund if we wanted. Both crew Attentive, consistently checking in on the passengers throughout. Needless to say the kids, and parents, loved it. Felt safe and secure for the whole journey and next time we're in the south we'll be back.

Not even worth the one star! Thieving barstards! My friend booked on their website and never got any tickets emailed to her. She phoned them numerous times they never answer and the voicemail only kicks in after 15mins!!!! She's left messages with her number and email address not a single reply! Absolute disgrace and appaling customer service. We had to rearrange as we on a weeks holiday and didn't want to lose a precious day. Both fuming.

We were staying in Torquay We had to book online as the kiosk in Torquay is not manned. Very easy to do this but we only got our confirmation the evening before travel, 3 days later. We had begun to get concerned. Tried calling the number on the website but message box was full.
We embarked from Torquay and the boat was already quite full as the boat had set out from Brixham. We found a space to sit but in my opinion the boat was over full.. the seats which were not fixed were very close together and cramped.
But the boat trip was lovely. And the train ride along the coast was good.
My advice

A definate must if staying in the local area!! We were looking for a ferry trip after being let down by another company, and came across WeFerry. The lady at the kiosk was very friendly and helpful, and recommended the wildlife sea-fari, which takes you along the beautiful coastline, discovering animals and birds in their natural habitat.
We were extremely lucky to see seals, herons, fish and also porpoises and dolphins! The crew on board tell you about the animals, and where to spot them. They were very informative, and would slow the boat for us to get the best view (and of course photos) possible
