Chapeltown Foot Clinic
This podiatry clinic has been established in Chapeltown, Sheffield for over 30 years. Lisa Shaw BSc (Hons) MRCPod and Graeme Carter BSc (Hons) MRCPod are University Degree trained Allied Health Professionals, HCPC-Registered Podiatrists and members of The Royal College of Podiatry. Both have 20+ years of experience of working as Podiatrists in both the NHS and private practice.

We are HCPC-Registered so you can be assured that your feet are in safe hands. Only an HCPC-registered professional can call themselves a Podiatrist (formerly known as Chiropodist) and provide a full scope of treatments which are recognised by major Health Insurance providers such as WestfieldHealth and SimplyHealthUK.
Services
We can safely and painlessly remove your corns and callouses, and treat cracked heels. They will take longer to return if we can determine the cause, so we will discuss how to reduce the pressure which may have contributed to them. Most are caused by the intense pressure from footwear. Orthotics, insoles and/or footwear changes may further help to prevent recurrance.
If you have been diagnosed with Diabetes then you could develop complications with your feet. Diabetes is a lifelong condition which could cause foot problems because the nerves and blood vessels supplying your feet become damaged. These changes can be so gradual that you do not notice them. It is important to have your feet assessed at least once a year so that you receive the appropriate level of care.
Nail care is offered for those people who have difficulty with self care. We understand that it may be difficult to reach your feet, see your feet or to hold a pair of scissors. Some nails can be too thick to cut with the scissors you have at home. We have the right tools and expertise to safely cut, shape and thin all kinds of nails to keep you comfortable.
Fungal nails can be unsightly and uncomfortable, and we understand that this causes many people to be self conscious. Our Podiatrists can thin the nails in a routine appointment, or perform a more specialised treatment called Nail Fenestration. Nail Fenestration is the process of treating Fungal Nails by drilling small holes through the nail.
Verrucae can easily be mistaken for Corns, so we need to inspect your problem to make a diagnosis and discuss the best treatment option for you. Verrucae are simply viral warts which appear on the feet and toes caused by an opportunistic infection by an HPV (Human Papiloma Virus). They are harmless but can cause sharp or burning pains.

I have always had excellent care and treatment provided by Lisa at Chapeltown Foot Clinic. The reception staff are incredibly welcoming and make you feel at ease straight away.
The clinic is modern, bright and has a high standard of cleanliness. I would really recommend a visit if you’re in need of podiatry care or advice. I won’t hesitate to contact them again with any future problems.

I attended my appointment as scheduled at the beginning of the 3rd lockdown, it was very covid safe and secure, my practitioner Lisa wore protective ppe and ensured I was following safety rules.
Despite the ppe barriers she was very friendly (never had my feet done before) and talked me through what she would be doing and asked if I had any questions.
I suffer really bad with excess skin on my heals that is sometimes painful, she was able to remove this without causing me any discomfort and has made my feet look brand new again!
Can’t wait to visit again, thanks for the great job you are doing

I’ve been coming to this practice for many years, and have got to know all the staff very well. Both Lisa and Graeme are very professional; very friendly; as gentle as is possible; very supportive; and very knowledgeable about their profession and the treatments they offer. I’ve always found any treatments, products and advice I’ve been given to… be of value and help. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. The reception staff also welcoming, friendly and helpful. It’s clear that every person is a valued team member and team effort delivers an excellent service

Lisa is a lovely person. She is very gentle and caring when dealing with your foot problems. Graeme is very nice, he is a big man and is musselly but he has a gentle touch. Both are very approachable people and I would recommend them if you have a foot problem. Not to forget, depending on the day you go the lovely welcoming receptionists Ann or Helen who both have a way of making a person feel st ease. It is a great little team.

I have visited the Chapeltown foot clinic a few times now and have been so impressed with the level of service and care I have received. Lisa Shaw is great at what she does. She is so professional yet approachable and she made me very relaxed about my appointment with her. The clinic is also very clean. Lisa is an expert in her field and the treatment I have received has been fabulous. She was also great at explaining what was wrong. Initially I wondered about seeking treatment for my feet as I wondered whether it would be worth it but I was so wrong. Now I feel everyone should care for their feet

We've been coming here regularly for about 2 years now - first to see Lisa and then more recently Graeme. They both provide a first class, friendly and efficient service and nothing is too much trouble. Ann and Helen, Receptionists, are so friendly and helpful and we would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who has trouble with their feet. Anne and Alan Crompton.
