Arches Physiotherapy
We have the expertise and the experience to fix the scores of problems behind pain and mobility issues. We keep up with the latest techniques, technologies and evidence-based treatments, but we are not interested in fads or gimmicks. We know what works, and we're proud to see our patients leaving here with problems solved and smiles on their faces.
Services
Arches Physiotherapy specialises in the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of muscle, joint and soft tissue trauma and pain. Our individual assessments aim to give accurate information about the nature of your pain and its immediate and underlying cause. We carry out a comprehensive assessment and examination of the problem area.
We are a renowned centre of excellence in sports injury rehabilitation and cutting-edge physiotherapy. Our track record of successful outcomes where others have failed is based on years of international experience and expertise, providing care to international sports teams and elite athletes in a wide variety of settings.
Arches is a leading physio-led Pilates centre. We have run specialised programmes and classes at our studio since 2007. The classes originated from the need to rehabilitate patients with ongoing back problems, and have grown to incorporate general injury prevention, sport-specific rehabilitation and ante-/post-natal classes, as well as catering for those who just enjoy Pilates.
Physiotherapy is essential for efficient recovery after many types of orthopaedic surgery. Whether you require six to nine months of rehabilitation after an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, or six weeks of therapy after a simple "clean up" procedure, specialist care and guidance produce the best long-term recovery.
Lower back pain is extremely prevalent - the second most common reason for seeing a GP, after the common cold. Treatment within the first nineteen days of pain has been shown to get the best outcome, so don't delay contacting us. Many spinal structures cause lower back pain and sciatica into the legs and feet, including spinal joints, discs, muscles, tendons, ligaments and nerves.

John Martin is the best physio I have ever been treated by. Having had only a few sessions post-major knee surgery, he has accelerated my recovery, strength and mobility way beyond my expectations and in only a few days. I can't recommend him and his practice highly enough and am just so relieved to be working with him toward full strength.

J. Quigg has been working with me from lockdown began and despite the difficulties the current circumstances provide he has been a great help. I am currently feeling a lot better with my injuries healing very well. I was given many exercises along with informative discussion on how this will impact my muscle and support with the healing process. I was also sent additional articles based on the type of training I normally do, which was very informative and shown that extra detail of care and support, which has been provided throughout. I would highly recommend this Arches Physio and J. Quigg. If

We went to see John Quigg regarding my daughter as the clinic had successfully treated my other daughter with Severs disease. Although this happened just as lockdown started John has treated her throughout lockdown virtually. Since working with John she has made great improvements. He has also given her an ongoing program to assist with her return to sport when lockdown allows. Highly recommend.

Saw Ciara who helped me with a neck injury at the beginning of the year & was really helpful & got me to the point of being signed off. After lockdown the problem reoccurred & have been seeing John who has given me exercises and delved thoroughly into the problem. Really pleased with the results and neck a whole lot better. When Arches reopen I’ll be 1st in the queue for the Pilates classes too which were of great benefit.

Came to arches for a rugby related shoulder injury. Was treated by John Quigg who did a fantastic job in rehabing it back to full strength. Provided exercises each week which helped to gradually strengthen it up, finishing with rugby specific contact work to ensure I was ready to get back to contact. Highly recommended!

John Quigg treated me for a calf strain injury and he had me up and running again in less than a month with an easily manageable rehabilitation plan, coupled with four physio sessions. I highly recommend John who also resolved an Achilles injury I had suffered last year. John has a very approachable and friendly manner which also makes the experience that much easier.
