Ighten Mount started out as a bowling club many, many years ago with teams in many local leagues. The flood lit bowling green has been popular with bowlers throughout generations and the large green has been a venue for a number of major cross Lancashire tournaments.
Over the years the club has evolved from a Bowling club in to a more generalised Sports & Social club, Its members once upon a time were exclusive, but these days not so much, Welcoming Members, None-Members, Families & Visitors from all ages and walks of life.In addition to the upper lounge the club has a large function room which is available for hire.

Services
Ighten Mount Bowling Club has a large function room for hire that can accomodate functions and events of up to 150 people in comfort. The room can be hired for all types of events and functions inc. The function room can also be hired by both Non-Members and club members and the function room is located on the ground floor with it's own well stocked bar and dedicated room for Buffets.

Very good sized room with a dance floor, and suitable side room for buffet and photo booth etc, toilets appalling for cleanliness a d ladies were flooding, bar staff almost non existent, intact they make Wetherspoons look over staffed, on that, it is also not cheap and the draught Guinness was like flat sick. Other than that it should also be noted that there is a large car park with close access to main road.

If you have a doo hear make sure you take pictures when you leve .my sister had her 60th there she only had family there at most 35 people .no mess was left. someone must of been sick in the men's toilet in the troff not on the seats etc . and they now say my sister can not have her £50 deposit back .we did not go in the men's and why would we .. take £10 to clean it but to say it was a mess relay...they prob did not make enaugh money behind bar because a lot of us ad our kids there so we did not drink .. and that why they feel they can keep the money well shame on you my sister as never had
