This is a slightly more structured lesson than the Nursery class. More technique is covered at this level yet still keeping the fun element with Mime and characterisation. Once standard is achieved a short optional examination can be taken at this level. Concentrating on Technique and fluidity of movement this class homes in on the foundations of Ballet and will transform each child into a young technical dancer.
At DefyGravity we provide a number of different fitness classes which are currently held at Newcastle Academy High School, Gallowstree Lane, Westlands and at DefyGravity Studios, Roundwell Street, Tunstall. Our professional instructors hold a vast range of fitness and dance qualifications and many years experience in the industry.
In addition to dance we encourage our students to pursue singing, Acting and musical theatre, with optional exams on and regular performances on offer our students can truly reach their full potential on stage or simply boost their confidence as they are a part of each class. We offer these classes from four-year-olds.
