Services
We are one of the very few publishers to actively support people from disadvantaged backgrounds into the world of publishing and writing. We work on behalf of the Arkbound Foundation to achieve this, and in early 2018 formally became it's charitable trading company, with 100% of profits going back into the charity.

Arkbound just published my first novel (pictured). It was a fun, straightforward process which I am very satisfied with. They are a good company who do good work for various social causes.
I am very happy with their service, and would recommend them as a first port of call for aspiring authors.

As a storyteller and writer I had little faith in the publishing industry. We shared our book with many publishers and were subjected to scams and disdain. Arcadia carries a message we feel is important and we wanted to work with a publisher that had highly active social end environmental values. We have found that in Arkbound.
They supported and understood the value of our work from the get go. We could not have achieved publication without their support, guidance, sponsorship and marketing.

As a writing mentor and freelance writer, I have supported people in finding Arkbound and worked with the staff right through to final book launches across the UK. I have also witnessed the community work being done through the Arkbound Foundation and have been particularly impressed by the ethical and principled way in which Arkbound conduct their business, at all levels. They are both an inspiration and an aspirational example of how business and social responsibility should be undertaken.

Arkbound is not only brilliant for local authors wanting their work published, but also for local people wanting to gain work experience. I have recently done some work experience with Arkbound helping to proofread and copy-edit a book. The trust and responsibility I have been given has not only improved my confidence and use of initiative, but has also enabled me to gain invaluable experience that will be incredibly useful in all my future endeavours. Thank you Arkbound!

A great publisher supporting the Bristol community. I'm a local author. Steve and the rest of the Arkbound team have been really supportive, reviewing my books on the website and in Boundless Magazine. They're also working on a mentoring project for disadvantaged writers in the local community, which is fabulous. Top stuff. Couldn't recommend them highly enough!

Arkbound has really helped me to gain some confidence as artist and writer after 20 traumatic years in Bristol: with a very ill partner, no job or support, not a single friend, homeless for some time and feeling like the lowest person in the world...
I have enough grades, certificates, even degrees to wallpaper my room with them, but just nothing helped; I felt like an alien.
I met Steve by chance at a VCS meeting and he told me about Arkbound and Boundless. Last Christmas I had the best present I ever got: I won £40 for my story I sent in for their competition! In the meantime I have been able

Arkbound is absolutely fantastic, the best publishing company I have come across in a long time. I can't recommend this company enough,They are a social enterprise and have utilitarian streak running through them as they decided to publish my book for free!!
Also their response time is great, not like other companies where you shoot of an email and be waiting around for weeks for a reply, they get back to you more or less straight away.
If you get the chance please check them out as they are amazing,g, this review is written by prolific author zahid zaman.

From start to finish Arkbound has been personable and professional in equal measure. As a Bristol based poet I was drawn to Arkbound for their keen social concience, the organisation is tightly knitted to Bristol, reaching out to give oppportunities across dividing lines. Arkbound were patient with my quite specific vision for the collection of poems I have published through them titled 'Paint Yourself', I was listened to and received well aimed feedback. Arkbound was an extremely refreshing exception to the muddled world of self publishing, there was never a sense I was being taken for granted
