Low Sizergh Barn Farm Shop & Tea Room
The farm shop is well stocked with local produce, from beer to bread, cheese to chutney, and farm-grown veg (thank you Growing Well). Enjoy a hearty Farmer's Breakfast, lunch on favourites made from scratch in our kitchen, or tuck into afternoon treats. We are keeping the extra space between our tables in the caf and the counter screen will also stay in place for now.

There's plenty of outside seating, excellent coffee, warm options, and ice cream made with milk from our cows. If you would like to eat outside Tuesday to Thursday, please scan the QR code on the tables to select and pay. The handmade, hand-stretched sourdough base is covered with a simple tomato sauce and delicious toppings.
Services
Three generations of the family run the businesses at Low Sizergh Farm. Alison can be found running the farm shop, gift gallery and caf, whilst her brother Richard runs the farm with his son Matthew. John jokes that he's now the farm boy sent to run all the errands and Marjorie spends as much time as possible painting in her shed.
What can you expect from the Low Sizergh Barn caf menu? We use farm eggs, award-winning Kendal Creamy cheese made with milk from our herd & ice cream made in Windermere from our milk, organic salad leaves grown on the farm by Growing Well and fruit from our orchards.

You're very welcome to enjoy a hearty Cumbrian breakfast, sip leaf tea that's blended to suit local water, lunch on favourites made every day in the kitchen or tuck into afternoon tea.Afternoon milking is around 3.30pm; watch the cows from the caf windows while enjoying a glass of their milk - how cool is that?
The Shed is open Friday to Monday, from 9 am to 5 pm for excellent coffee, warm options, and ice cream made with milk from our cows. You can also order inside and eat outside when The Shed is closed. Order upstairs in the caf (remember your outdoor table number) for table service outside or scan the QR code on the tables to select and pay.
There are three floors to the 17th century barn that make up our farm shop, craft, gift, and clothing galleries. It's a treasure trove of goodies for everyone to enjoy. From home-grown vegetables for the pan and ice cream for the kids, to an original ceramic piece from a local artist, Low Sizergh Barn really does offer the best of farm shopping.
Food tastes better when it is grown and produced with passion and that's exactly what you will find in our farm shop. Cool creamy milk, fresh morning bread, delicious meat from locally reared animals, vegetables fresh from the ground and the farm's free range eggs with rich yellow yokes. We were very chuffed to receive an accolade from The British Cheese Awards.

Stumbled upon this place by accident as we were driving back to Manchester from Tthe Lake District. Absolute must visit.
We bought some sourdough bread and cheese and could fault either. Next time we will definitely try their fresh milk as well.
We were lucky enough to arrive as the cows were being milked and saw it in action.
Plenty of parking.

Nice little farm shop to come across and with a cafe too. Good choice of fresh produce and Artisan foods and crafty products. Cafe serves a good mug of coffee and cold drinks and ice cream. Also quick meals including Fish Finger sandwich and Rolls. Great place don't miss out it's a must go too.

Stopped in for breakfast on Friday and the food was delicious! Servings were a good size and enjoyed by everyone. Could spend a long time browsing the farm shop. Arrive promptly at nine to avoid waiting for breakfast

Lovely afternoon spent walking the woodland trails,( and getting lost!) with my dog. Lots of outdoor space to have something to eat or drink and also a cafe indoors. There is a shop which sells the typical lake district gifts and locally sourced produce, although I thought a little pricey. Will definitely go again to explore more of the woodland trails and grab a refreshment.

What a gem! We only stopped to visit the farm shop, but we ended up staying almost 2 hours after doing the walking trail and watching the cows being milked. I also bought some of their raw milk from the vending machine (admittedly for novelty factor more than anything else). Not being one to drink milk unless its in my tea, I tried it with trepidation once we got home. Well, I was blown away, it tastes fantastic!! My kids had a great time, and we'll definitely visit again when we are next up in the lake district.

A lovely small, site up to 10 tents and 5 caravans with hookup on a working dairy farm. You can see the cows being milked daily@ 15:30 either from the stable door in the courtyard or from the award winning cafe via a big window in a converted barn. Very popular withe everyone not just the campers, you can buy and try raw milk too.
There is a shower block and washing up facilities with a fridge and freezer available Which is on an honesty baisis.

Stayed in our caravan here for a week. Facilities good, toilet block clean has all amenities needed and Kendal not far away from supermarkets and for traveling to places within the lakes etc. Only thing I can note is that when using and awning and awning carpet the stone parking has lots of loose big stones these could do with flattening down a bit. Other than that enjoyed our stay and will return again at some point in the future.

Such a pretty spot. The farm shop was expensive as these places usually are but the merchandise and products were good quality. There is a little cafe here that offers table service and you can order food via an app. You can also watch the cows being milked if you're there at the right time.
Overall we enjoyed our visit and would recommend it to others who are in the vicinity and looking for somewhere to go for an hour or so.
