Beautiful place and outstanding setting. The service was excellent a lovely cheery lady looked after us so well. Jonathan was very understanding with our Kate arrival for dinner after a 3 hour diversion for the M6 closure. Nothing too much trouble. The room was spotless and the bedsswere so comfortable. Home from home. We hope to come back for a longer stay.

We had an amazing stay at Bank Ground. It was the perfect escape from the city and lockdown and just what we needed: stunning lake and mountain views, great friendly service and fantastic food that was delivered to the room (we stayed in the outside lodge which is a separate building). We also hired a motor boat and cruised on Coniston Water (the lake) which was a lovely experience. There are lots of great hikes nearby for all levels. Jonathan the owner was super nice and his staff: Tom and Lydia where super helpful and attentive. Next time will come back for Mountain biking too. Highly recommended

I honestly don’t want to shout about this beautiful place for fear that too many people will discover it! It’s such a wonderfully idyllic place and one we stumbled upon quite randomly, I feel like I need to keep pinching myself to believe we really did just have the most memorable, extra-special weekend. My dad passed away suddenly in March and we came to celebrate my mum’s first birthday and anniversary since he died. We could not have chosen a more perfect place to stay. From the winding lane that leads to Bank Ground Farm, to the breathtaking views on arrival, to the cosy cottage

I discovered this place while on a 20 mile walk around Coniston water. Their Swallows and Amazon tea room is wonderful. It's surrounding garden is lovely and sitting outside in the sunshine with the beautiful views makes this the best location for a cuppa. The scones I had were light and fluffy with delicious homemade jam. I'm very tempted to stay for bed and breakfast next time as it's bound to be great.

Absolutely fabulous! Lovely family run farm, hotel and tea rooms set in the most beautiful surroundings. Views like no other! The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Our room was beautiful with views on 2 sides. We had lunch in the tea rooms and it was delicious. Cannot recommend this hotel enough, a hidden gem! We will be back!
