At cake workshop we are celebrating our 30th anniversary. Established in our current position in 1985 we were the first specialist novelty and celebration cake shop in Southampton and we are sure our success has everything to do with the constant quality, imagination and taste.
Owner Wendy Spreadbury has been making cakes since 1987 when starting a bakery and confectionery course and working in bakery's finally working at the cake workshop in 1993.Wendy was able to buy and take over cake workshop in 1996 and employs 5 people.

Services
Another very popular service we provide is to decorate home made cakes. We know sometimes members of the family like to bake the cake but dont feel comfortable decorating them. Leave this to us, just bring along the cakes. We supply boards, boxes, sugar paste, marzipan, flowers, ribbons and pillars if required; and fully decorate it.
Do you have customers of your own? Why not treat your customers on their birthday with one of our cakes maybe instead of flowers? All you need to do is either book individually or e-mail us a list of dates, their name, telephone number (so we can check they are home to receive) and delivery address, and we will book them in and deliver for you.
Our free delivery areas include Southampton, New forest within 15 miles, Whitely, Romsey, Botely, Horten Heath, Winchester (within 15 miles), Sherrell Heath (New place), West Wellow. We deliver to Portsmouth, Bournemouth for an extra Cost of 35 (if delivery times are available). Basingstoke and Hook have been added but only on Fridays.
You will only need an apron and packed lunch and go home with an 8 inch square, filled, iced and decorated cake, we provide sponge, jam, cream, fondant, cake board, box use of colours and all equipment needed to create your beautiful cake!. Payment is required on booking your preferred space and 48 hours notice please if you need to cancel to give us time to try to book your space.

Have been using Cake Workshop for years, Wendy is so talented, this year I have ordered a cake nearly every month for various celebrations, also taken them up on their Facebook offers, as these cakes are also delicious, fun and great value for money. I highly recommend Cake Workshop not only do they do their cakes taste amazing, they also do the most fantastic designs. Thank you Wendy!!

Had my 60th birthday cake made here it was delicious and flavour and then decoration what I wanted all my guests said that tastes lovely and looked beautiful the price was very good for what I got and the service very good to I will get other cakes made here for the future my grandchildren etc and highly recommend the place to my friends

After being let down by The Cake Lady, the Cake Workshop stepped up to the mark. Wendy and her colleagues were so friendly and helpful and the cake was amazing! So much attention to detail, fab craftsmanship and the cake tasted wonderful! We wanted a two tiered beach theme cake and that’s exactly what we got!

So glad I found "Cake workshop" for my son’s first birthday cake. Not only was the cake exactly what I wanted - simple, elegant, delicious, good value - working with Wendy was great. She was always very responsive and just knows what she's doing! All my guests LOVED the cake, both in design and flavor. Definitely recommend. Thank you!

Cake workshop are beautiful, no doubt. The cake itself was a bit dense but nice in flavor. However, their was out of our price range if we wanted to do anything fancy. They are easily double the rate of other pastry chefs but I suppose their reputation proceeds here.But overall Its a highly recommended shop for cakes.
