The course is open. Good Morning. The course is open with no restrictions, please rake all bunkers when played shot and leave rakes in bunkers. Please repair any pitch marks made on greens. Enjoy your golf. The course was designed by Alister Mackenzie, and is a challenging and most enjoyable Par-72 layout, contrasting of two loops of nine with the front half surrounded by the back half.
Bolton Old Links is a lovely exposed moorland location, which means wind mainly contributes to the experience, along with our fantastic challenging greens. The highest point of the course sits on the 12th hole, from where you can experience magnificent breath taking views of the four surrounding counties.

I had a birthday party in the large function room with 50 guests. The room looked lovely in the evening with the lighting and nicely set out tables. Plenty of room for dancing, a well stocked bar, friendly… helpful staff. Special thanks to Liz for ensuring all went well and organising a very good buffet. DJ Jon Wolf’s music and lighting added to the atmosphere. Gill Platt made a fab balloon display which my grandchildren loved playing around and at the end of the evening divided up! All in all a very very happy and relaxed evening with family and friends.
