She did an Erasmus year abroad at Tampere University of Technology (TUT) in Finland, where she became interested in timber construction technologies and sustainability. She started working as a 3D visualizer for C60 Architects with an Erasmus + Internship in 2016.
She then went back to Madrid to finish her Masters. Angela moved back to Belfast where she started working as Project Architect in 2017. We are often asked why we chose the name C60 for our practice, so we thought we would provide a brief explanation on where our name came from. C60 is a nod to the visionary futurist, Buckminster Fuller.
The name itself comes from 'Carbon 60' which is a spherical fullerene molecule called Buckminsterfullerene (or bucky-ball) in honour of the revolutionary Architect, due to the molecule's structure which is the same as the geodesic structure's for which Fuller became best known.During his life spanning from 1895 to 1983, Fuller's interests spanned Architecture, poetry, education, engineering, philosophy, environmentalism and humanitarianism.

Thoughtful design means designing to use less, collaborating with the outdoors, using technology to improve quality while reducing quantity, and designing for longevity, flexibility and a joyful living environment. Homes should be built to human scale, using only what is needed, but remaining open and airy.

I`ve had the pleasure of working with C60 Architects and Town Planners on a number of collaborative projects and found them to be a very professional, creative and a motivated Belfast Architecture Company. Their help and advice on specific Planning issues was invaluable and contributed to the success of the project. I would highly recommend them and will work with them in the future.
