Newquay Water Sports Centre was developed from a love of the ocean and the desire to provide a facility that no other company can on the north coast of Cornwall. Directors Sam Starkie, Duncan Wallace and Mel Starkie decided to pool resources to become one of the leading watersports providers in the area.

We specialise in outdoor pursuits and extreme water sports activities in Newquay. From our centre in Newquay Harbour we offer over 30 water sport activities and land activities too.
All equipment and guide are included in this unique activity. Our background in White water rafting and love of Surfing enabled us to create this amazing activity. You start with safety, capsize drills and paddling skills and then straight into the surf, riding the waves and white water. Epic white water fun.
8 man XL SUP is a totally unique and brand new activity we created and have developed in Newquay, Cornwall. All equipment and instructors are included in this unique activity we created. Join our experts and boy what an epic experience this is. You will learn many skills to have you up and paddling in no time in this flat water session but be prepared for non stop laughter and gut giggles.

First visitor - initially would have given it a 4 star (as a member of staff was so helpful/ friendly) but on reflection I have to rate it a 2.5 star mainly due to other staffs attitdue / safety concerns
We was told to take a mobile phone with us in a waterproof pouch- and to dial 999 / ask for coastguard if we need emergency help (pouches where available for purchase, but where very expensive)
Positives:
* Friendly helpful member of staff who processed our booking & also carried a canoe for us to the harbour ramp (as I did not have the strength to lift it)
* Life jackets provided
* Lockers

We booked a paddleboard mini lesson and coastal tour and all had a great time. Great thing about paddleboarding is that you can have a good time irrespective of your age and it was great to share this experience with my kids.
Our instructor Sam was excellent and struck the right balance between keeping us safe and having fun(getting wet...)!

Great hour out on the water kayaking, we were able to just hire them and off we went on ourselves. Thoroughly enjoyable group activity in the sunshine! Only problem was the rudeness we experienced from the guy serving us was quite blunt and unhelpful, didn’t offer any help/guidance or instructions on where to go in the water etc. Luckily we’d been kayaking before so knew what to do but new to the area so would’ve been helpful.

Really good fun, great team!! Our instructor Nick was lovely and kept us all smiling and knew buckets about all of the things we paddled past. I would highly recommend this as a way to spend your time if you’re near, from start to finish it was an absolute blast!! I wouldn’t have changed anything - we saw lots of wildlife and caves and heard lots about all of them. Interesting, fun and overall a fantastic time!!

We had a paddle boarding lesson and mini adventure with Nick today. He was brilliant, we were a mixed group experience wise and he managed to keep us all busy so we all learnt a lot. His clear instructions, knowledge of the area, protection of the local environment and enthusiasm made him an excellent teacher. The whole team at the centre were informative and helpful while booking and when we were there. Highly likely to be back, highly recommend! Thanks for a great afternoon and tips for the area Nick!
