Regular eye examinations are an important way of making sure that your eyes and visual system are healthy, and that your visual system has the right support to provide long-term clear and comfortable vision.

Our team of Hospital Trained Optometric Specialists will carefully examine your eyes and visual system using our comprehensive suite of 'gold standard' diagnostic equipment which includes a Humphrey VFA and FDT, Medmont E300 Topographer, OCT scanner, Thompson Vision Chart, Goldmann and I-Care tonometer (where applicable).

Developmental Optometrists use a combination of carefully prescribed lenses, prisms, filters and or tints to improve visual efficiency. We can also help improve the visual system through Optometric vision therapy.

Vision is closely integrated with our other senses, movement, memory and speech so improving visual skills can help in a range of conditions such as those found in dyslexia, dyspraxia, traumatic brain injury as well as strabismus and lazy eye.Vision therapy is a sequence of neurosensory and neuromuscular activities individually prescribed and monitored by an Optometrist to rehabilitate and enhance visual skills and processing.

Myopia Control is an evidence based approach to control and management of myopia (short sight). The myopia management clinic at Lawrence i-Care Optometrists was introduced as a result of the increasing body of evidence that exists supporting the use of specialist contact lenses in short sighted (myopic) children.

At Lawrence i-Care Optometry we recommend initial eye examinations at 6 months, 18 months and 3 years for children with a regular check up from then onwards. Children can't tell us when they aren't seeing well, to them the vision they have is normal. Our Optometrists are experienced with working with young children and we allow plenty of time for each appointment.

At Lawrence I-Care we have highly specialised equipment and the expertise to fit a type of overnight contact lens using a technique known as orthokeratology. Developed over 30 years ago but refined over the last 10, you can have clear vision through the day by using an overnight lens to gently reshape the out layers of the cornea.
