Elm Nursery has been in Sutton Green for over 30 years - quite an incredible achievement! The family run establishment (Mum Rita, Emma, Katie and Nan) has adapted to changes in demand over the years but has also maintained strong values. The story started when Rita wanted a bigger back garden - she acquired a small farm shop and continued to grow and sell their produce.
Our two acre nursery stocks excellent quality and great value British grown plants from bedding stock to fruit trees. Our story: Elm Nursery started when Rita wanted a bigger back garden - she acquired a small farm shop and continued to grow and sell their produce. When a large supermarket opened in Burpham, trade was gone overnight.
Come and see our wonderful free roaming animals at our children's farm from Alpacas to ducks; our family is ever growing! We have many animals including alpacas, goats, Shetland ponies, pigs, ducks, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs and more. We even have a delightful donkey called Applejack who is very friendly.

Lovely little farm, farm shop and cafe. Small amount of animals to be seen and you can feed the chickens and guinea pigs for £1 a bag. Nice cafe with lovely food and lots of cakes available.
Small toilets available (one was out of order). There is a baby change available in one of the toilets.
It can get muddy so suggest wearing wellies/suitable shoes. Small playground available for young children.

WOWEE! What an absolutely fabulous afternoon at the farm last week. The Halloween decorations were some of the best hand made and hand crafted I have seen for a local business. Zsolt, (the handyman behind the scenes) you are a true asset to the business helping build the frame for the flying witch. My 5 year old twin boys were so excited to see her… flying on her broomstick over the farm (the gust of wind helped their imagination)! The animals looked so cosy in their winter coats and they both especially enjoyed a trip to Elm Cafe where they were allowed a treat for half term. It was lovely

I took my children here after hearing great things from friends. This is a lovely place to fill a couple of hours. Lots of lovely animals to see and chickens roaming freely which you can feed. There is also a farm shop with great fresh produce and plants for sale, a play area and a cafe. Ample parking and friendly staff. I think maybe more suited to younger children however my 7, 11 and 12 year olds enjoyed themselves just fine.

We had a great time! The plants are beautiful and healthy - and very reasonably priced. The produce in the farm shop is all fresh and delicious. We visited the farm as well and I've never met friendlier guinea pigs. We all had a lovely afternoon.

Charming family run children's farm. Small but a nice venue for a short trip. Be aware that chickens roam free and are enthusiastic about the food that can be bought for them - be aware that they will jump up and grab bags from smaller children!

Love popping into Elm Nursery. I recently bought some bedding plants. As I’m not a great gardener, Emma helped me out, explaining the different varieties and what would work well in my garden. Staff always very helpful. Can’t recommend enough!

One of the best budget kids/toddler activities in the area, just enough to keep little ones interested - you can feed the chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs, and spot the shetlands, alpacas, pigs and goats, a small play area with a slide and sand pits, but not too much to overwhelm them.
We love the Elm cafe too, lovely vegetarian and vegan options if your so inclined and great kids lunches and snacks which aren’t just the usual beige options!

Farm: Lovely morning out and only £1 entrance with under 2s free. You can feed the rabbits and chickens with the feeds you can buy for £1 a bag. We saw alpacas, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, small horses, ducks and pigs and a goat.
Nursery: large selection of plants and some good produce.
Elm kitchen:
Always good. Tea and hot drinks, food. Family run, always welcoming.
Update: 2/12/17
Just been here for the Christmas craft market. Very good, lots of stalls, Santa grotto and mulled wine.
