Always a good choice as eat in or take away. Vast menu of tasty fresh traditional Chinese cuisine. Not the most stylish place but the food and service make up for the decor. Beware it's cash only! But worth every penny.

Amazing service, great food. Not your usual Chinese takeaway food. This is much more authentic and so tasty. Love eating here.

With my usual Chinese closes for the week, me and my family ended up coming here. The food was enjoyable but the restaurant was far to cramped, to the point someone on the table next to us and I accidently bumped elbows twice during the course of the meal.
It would make me uncomfortable in good times, but with Covid still very much being a thing I felt unsafe.
Would recommend customers use as a takeaway, but not as a restaurant.

I'm giving this a 5 star to make sure this review comes up. I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. Ordered for mixed vegetable rice and it was served watery and bland. Ordered for sweet & sour spare ribs and was given something that looks and tastes entirely different and the waiter insisted it was what I had ordered. I have been to a couple of Chinese restaurants here in the UK and their food was amazing, but this one I will definitely NOT recommend. Left without eating a meal I spent 24 pounds on.

Delicious food, large portions, friendly and attentive staff. The decor is traditional and perhaps slightly less modern than it could be, but this is a very minor issue in the face of Yinjibar's many, many positive features. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to any and all who asked!

Magnificent food! A small and 'out of the way' restaurant that has such a good reputation that other customers have spoken about travelling far to visit here for a meal. Never had any Chinese cooking like it. Large portions but with the best of flavours no matter what you order. 5*

Feeling emotionally and physically destroyed after my recent visit to Yinjibar.
First red flag, the water tasted atrocious. After we ordered they brought us plates and a bowl of what I believe were very sad clouds. The entrees came before the starter. For entrée I ordered the roast duck which arrived partially submerged in a puddle of oily water. My m8 ordered fried rice which came with a number of unidentifiable pieces of flesh on top. I won't dignify it with the title of "meat". Also they brought a random half head of cabbage. Finally our starter arrived, the crispy lamb which

I agree with kitteecat74, this restaurant is a little gem and one of the few offering great dim sum (till 6pm) at very reasonable prices. the cheung fun are fab.

the menu isn't huge but is made up of a well known selection, they do have supplemental menu which is a more exciting - the king prawns in xo sauce are great and pack a spicy punch.

it is popular with the chinese community but its great to see others finding this restaurant tooked away behind the Hull New Theatre - also there are plenty of parking spaces nearby.

I've already added this review but for some reason they've put it as a Japanese restaurant:
This restaurant is a little gem! You may be put off by it's small size (although I think they have extended now), unassuming exterior and low key decor, but I strongly recommend everyone to try this place.
Fantastic food at the most unbelievable prices. They do huge bowls of noodles with seafood, meats or wantons etc for about £5, have a great range of dim sum and also do sushi. As well as a small selection of the usual Chinese dishes.
I have tried their seabass with chillies and it was amazing
